2000 and 2001 were shocking seasons for us. No trophies or any competition for the league title + embarrassing results to the small clubs. The only silver lining was that we would go on to win the Double in 2002

@@tayeebhussain5014 No, because Arsenal took the title fight to the final day of the season and only lost the league by 1 point. They also had the second best defence in Premier League history with only 17 goals conceded all season. Only lost a great FA Cup semi final replay to Man Utd as well. Very close to another league and cup double, sadly ended up with nothing.

@ObviouslyKieran Maybe Blackburn expected to thrash Arsenal as they had beaten them 1-3 at Highbury earlier that season lol...and 2002/03 they did the double over Arsenal which really damaged Arsenal's title chances (despite ManUtd losing away to Blackburn too, ManUtd's record vs the top teams that season aside from that was almost flawless and they deservedly won the title).
