This captivating video almost brought tears to my eyes! You know you took wife and I to this place years ago and we enjoyed our evening there so much. Why did it have to be demolished is beyond my understanding!! That place provided a peaceful refuge from the city, a place to mingle, a place to enjoy nature and a place which stimulated the local economy. Having hotels/restaurants in National Parks/Forests is not unusual: Barely two hours from my house is Pisgah Inn in North Carolina. It is in a National Forest and has a restaurant and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. It is maintained in a responsible manner. Pakistan, especially its hyperactive and stupid judiciary, can be so self destructive!! You know a certain Supreme Court Judge, who became a national hero 15-20 years ago, caused so much harm to Pakistan's economy by his judicial activism in case of Reqo Diq and Steel Mills cases. Thanks for this video. But I hope Monal restaurant is rebuilt to its old glory!!

It was lovely place but if it was not removed then over the years the land mafia would have taken hold of every inch of that protected park. Already a powerful institution is speeding edging up from the side of E10 D10 C10. Soon every inch of that area will be dotted with plots. Monal was dismantled to signal this ادارہ not to destroy Margala hills for the satisfaction of lavish residential quarters.
