I loved this challenge. First time trying non-dominant hand to make initial graphite & colored pencil marks. Also mixed up some colors using a couple of duochrome shades that I haven't loved by themselves. Made some lovely muted yet rich shades. Denise - I love how you stretch us with your tutorials, yet it never feels like it at the time - only fun and freedom. Thank you so much for sharing your talent, and for your commitment to this group. I'm so loving it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Denise, I am amazed at how fresh your videos remain!! I always think “well I just saw something just like that”. But every video remains new and exciting! Absolutely love what you post. You are a Phoenix! Of course, as most people I subscribe to other channels, but you are the Best! I have a question. In your recent posts you have used oil pastels, gelatos, and other water solvable markers and sticks. I can not afford all of them (dang) are they interchangeable? Also the Graphite materials, pencils, Kuretake, and Derwent sticks, can you use just one? I love to see all the options please keep showing everything but can you show or tell how to substitute one for the other? Keep up the good work !!

Loved the process you did on this abstract. Have you ever done stenciling as a beginning in a dark color? I want to give that a try what medium would be best to do that with?

I have not done the stencil first. I’d probably do it the same as I do it now with acrylic paint and then add on top of that. Definitely do some experimenting. 😊
