I made my first tile with Alcohol Inks. I wanted to make a Beach Effect, but I failed. It was so ugly. I didn't have a blending solution when I made it and also my Alcohol was 70% only. So I decided to go a step further and put it on fire with 99% Alcohol this time!
WARNING: Fire is dangerous. Please be safe if you try this. Keep your camera away from the flame and use a thick metal surface to put your tile on. Remove flammable products from proximity. Children should seek help from an adult to play with these!

I actually liked both of them. The first one had more organic detail in the sand part.

Thank you for saying that! I like to hear different perspectives. :) !!! As an artist, it's always a thing that when we make something and don't like it, someone else may love it in fact!

I liked the first effect, particularly before you coloured over the white on the waves. Interesting to see the colour is unaffected by the flames

I'd be afraid of setting my whole house on fire if I tried this. Pretty effects, though!

You are correct, it can be dangerous. The flames I made in my house where about 3 feet tall. As long as your surface is metal like mine and nothing above the flame, you are good to go, it only burns for few seconds. It's like the fire in the kitchen when cooking like chefs :) You can do this outside too when the weather permits!

Beautiful Art Pieces! Could I totally do this outside on a cement surface with some aluminum foil underneath for a glass picture frame? I only hv 70% Alcohol due to Pandemic & high cost of rubbing alcohol? I really want to try this since the weather is sunny in the day♥️ty

Hello :) I do not recall which rubbing alcohol I used at the time, but honestly, just pour a little of the 70% on something and try it out, even just on aluminum paper works too. You can put it on a baking pan if you would like. Yes best is to do it outside. The flame for me could get really high, so it's just safer to be in an open environment. Now if you are working on glass, I assume there wouldn't be any issues because the flame will not last very long. Unfortunately I do not remember if my tile got really hot. For glass the worry is that it could crack, especially if outside is cold. I would try it if I was you haha but I love experimenting. I hope you get the courage to do it!

Hello, :) Im very impressed with your alcohol ink art. I do have one question though. When you do alcohol ink on ceramic, or glass do seal your art pieces with resin?
@ArijanaLukic
