Love the colour selection of the pencils. I’m a UK artist and I use Jackson’s all the time, they are a brilliant art store & a fairly small business so they always take so much care with their packages & products.

I’m so impressed with them, I’m surprised to hear they’re a small business, they’re definitely top rate! I can’t wait to order from them again. I also love their art-focused emails, they’re very well done. ☺️

@@LeanneLandArt they might not be so small anymore but they’re not like Michaels or such across the States with branches all over, much more independent with I think just 3 small stores in England. I love their ethos and quality though & glad you’ve discovered them. Happy creating 🙂

I'm Canadian as well, and I only buy from Jackson's now. Our local companies just aren't competitive enough, and frankly I'm 3 hours away from the closest art store. The only time I'm charged duty is when I buy art supplies that come from Poland, Russia or Ukraine.

You're so right, and it's sad. I'm in Ontario and there's a fantastic chain on the west coast that I go to when I visit my sister, but our stores locally aren't competitive and there isn't enough of them. Michael's is definitely not a substitute (and overpriced too). It's unfortunate, but I'm so glad I found Jackson's Art. They have an incredible variety of brands and the prices are more reasonable for sure.

Fellow Canadian, I have ordered from Jackson’s several times and have only been charged duty on one occasion. I’m not sure if that parcel was selected because it was a bit larger/heavier (watercolour blocks) or because the value was higher (I think around $150-160 Cdn). I’ve been so tempted to try those pencils!

Ahh, that’s great to hear! I wondered about that, if the price might’ve been the influence. I’ll have to keep that in mind when ordering next time and try to keep it around or under the same amount. And the size as well. The Caran D’Ache pencils are so luxurious! ☺️❤️

I always order from Jackson’s because the prices are cheaper and so is the shipping. I just received my order of 64 Holbein pencils @ $3.22 CAD each and $4.22 shipping! Waiting on my Roman Szmal paints now. Keep creating 💛💙💜

Wow, that's an incredible price! I'll definitely be ordering from them again, they have brands that are harder to get here. I only wish they would ship Holbein gouache to Canada, that would be my next purchase. 😊 Unfortunately they're not able to ship those products to Canada, I assume because of distribution deals. But I've had no trouble with everything else I've looked into there. Enjoy your new pencils! 🎨 😊

@@LeanneLandArt don’t mind, you can still order. They had a big note saying they couldn’t ship the Holbein pencils to Canada or the US and I still got them. I mean why show them on the Canadian side if they don’t ship? Give it a try, most you get is a note 😁

where did you get your copic display case?

My Copic case is made from two IKEA electronic boxes, stacked on their side. I used the IKEA drawer dividers to make the little cubby holes, cutting them to the size I needed. I’m not sure if they still sell these items but those are the two things I used. 😊

Are the inks waterproof inks? I got black carbon ink from Amazon and everybody says it's waterproof but when I got mine it's not. I love those holographic stickers!

Thanks for the sticker love! ☺️ Those inks are in fact waterproof and light fast. I've been using the Lotte colour for the past couple of years. It dries very quickly which is so nice, especially if you have pencil lines underneath to erase after inking. I'm so impatient to wait for other inks to dry, but the Sketch Ink's never smudge on me. 😊
