Just FYI, he is making it out to be more difficult than it is. The physics are arcade, not simulation. Can't blame him too much, if racing isn't his thing, then a game like this won't be familiar.

Just saying, the game is like the sequel to absolute drift:zen edition, for those who’ve played and complete the game, the statue at the end says “you might master the *art of rally*” which was the developers hinting this game to you, which is also why you see the statue in this game as well. nah, this is a really chill game once you get the hang of it, the physics are kind of floaty which takes some getting used to but the lack of any need to win in the career mode to progress in particular makes it really chill

@@kidsea13 yeah seriously absolute drift i was able to get the hang of in a week or two at most this game feels like with how the cars handle its gonna take me months to even set decent times i swear half the times when i want the car to slide it just half ass turns especially on keyboard where as when i dont want the car to slide it loses any semblance of grip and restraint making it feel like im fighting the car

@@humanhuman5024 to be fair the worst part of this is because the game is based on momentum yet seems to sorely lack depth perseption to its benifit for this a car thats going 20 feels like its going 5 and a car at 40 feels like its going 20 this is really disorienting in tight hairpins and i know its not the overhead view as absolute drift was in the same camera view

@@dr.dylansgame5583 I was playing yesterday and when going 10mph I could not steer in a small 80 degree bend when any car can do that and when I’m going over 50 then the car turns better how is that possible I don’t have the lack of depth perception problem but I do have the lighting problem where if you are facing the sun you can’t see the track at all now I know this might be “realistic” but this is an arcade game not a sim game I don’t want to be blind Then there is the hand break problem when I press the hand break I expect the car to slide remember I just tap it and turn at the same time not hold it down yet every time I use it the car just stops This game took the worst out of sim and the worst out of arcade for example the handbrake is like and E hand break on sim and the steering at slow speed is like sim but the steering on fast speed is like arcade and the lighting is like sim so it’s just a bad game And the cars are not interesting none of them are different except for acceleration and top speed so are the tracks if you drive on dirt or asphalt it’s the same grip

I love how "using the handbrake at the wrong time can send you careening off the track" is your litmus test for whether a game is simulation or not lol not being elitist, and it's totally fine if some folks want assists or don't practice a ton. I love assetto corsa, but I can dig some forza as well. But for me if I can just yoink the handbrake and nothing bad happens? That doesn't mean it's not a sim, it means it's a broken game. Hell gta and nfs would be "simulation" by this standard : p

This game is one of my fave games ever. Its super fun, takes ages to master but unlike the reviewer here - I think the soundtrack is one of the best in a game in years! Depends on your tase obviously, but if you loke a bit of synth pop and 80's style movie synth then the soundtrack is worth the price alone. In fact, I bought the soundtack off steam and tweeded the composer my kudos to his sublime job on this. A great game for £25, so if you get it on sale then even better!

Grinsekotze in my opinion, the driving is really fun, but it's definitely not a simulator. It lets you feel differences from drivetrain layout and power, but everything else is pure fun. This review makes it sound more unforgiving than it is.

Yeah after coming from dirt and assetto the driving made absolutely no sense to me physics wise. Traction is weird over bumps and for some reason if you slide at like 25mph and power through it you will slide up to hundreds of feet. There isn't much of a sense of loading thr car up suspension wise rather than just waiting for your steering inputs to do something. It definitely takes a bit to get used to. Taking a step back and looking at it just as an arcade game is better.

Love the retro synthwave soundtrack in this game, lowered the engine sound so that it didn't drown out the music! The art style is so beautiful but detailed. At the same time it's probably my favorite rally simulation game. No need for a map or map reader thanks to the camera angles. Just focus on the driving while grooving to the awesome tunes!

Yes, there is normal career mode, in this case you will race starting at the first years of rally till 90's Group A. This game is pure gearhead goodness.

Ok, hear me out. There is this one browser racing game that I just can't remember the name of. The thumbnail of the game or ''logo'' looked like a zombie or an angry man growling. The game itself was pretty simple. The maps or racetracks were plain colors like light blue, green and I think red. It had a 3D Cartoonish look. The cars were messy and you can unlock them the more races you win.

On the left of the gear / rev indicators often I see a little wheel loading, it only last about 1 sec or so, and when it is fully loaded my car is reset on the track. I have never seen that wheel in any online video I have watched. What the hell is it? Please somebody help me.

The right stick which directs the car left and right - has also another function - it reset the game when pressed down. So if you experience that problem the solution is to deactivate the reset function of the right stick from through the menu.

This game had two good things: 1) the music. 2) I played it for free(on Game Pass) As for bad things, it has an amalgam: - it got the bad from sim and arcade in term of control. - the control is inconsistent. - low poly environment with huge pop-up. - confusing menu progression. - once you played each type of track, you played them all - they repeat constantly, no variety. - no fun factor. - completely sterile and dead environment - aside from "people" moving aside to your car, there's no other animation in the environment, not even the waves at the shore. - all camera views are from very far away to far away. - in curves trees block your road view(bad design). - dynamic camera prevent you from learning how to efficiently control your car. - laggy control. - and some others.
