Your advice just helped me be SO successful at my first market. Now I’m confident and I’ve signed up for four more events. Thanks so much for your insight!!!

I’m a landscape/urbex photographer (interesting combo, I know) and your market videos have given me great advice as I begin to attend more fairs. I had my first $200 profit last month at a fair and I was so happy! All three booths last month had a profit and I have you and your channel to thank for all the great pointers!

Interesting idea about booth set up. I usually set up with u shape so they have to come in. Maybe that’s my prob. But if I watch a person look I usually say “come on in. It’s ok.” ❤😂 I also don’t do prints. But I wonder if that would be a good way to go.

This is so helpful! I started selling my art at markets this year and really struggling. I don’t bring many prints but you’ve inspired me to try it out. I’m trying to find your print video. I can’t seem to find it.

Aww man, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it picks up for you and you start to feel some hope again! Hmm, it should be on the “Artist Academy” playlist.

Most people don’t carry cash. You’re right.

Definitely. My husband tells the story of wanting to buy an 800 painting from a vendor at DragonCon... they wouldn't take a card. He said, "who carries THAT MUCH cash around a sci-fi convention". He did not get the painting. Both he and the artist lost out.

Fantastic tips! I also feel uncomfortable when a vendor hovers and instigates a conversation and I always feel guilty not buying. 3-28-24

Hi! I just wanted to come on here and say that I love your videos and they are very educational when it comes to selling artwork and how to monetize your art. I also paint celebrities and I was wondering how you deal with copyright when it comes to selling your stuff? I am nervous about trying to sell mine because of copyright issues and am wondering if you've ever run into that? Would love to know! Keep making videos, and keep up the good work!

Hi! Thank you so much. ☺️ the only place I’ve run into copyright issues with my celebrity art is on Etsy. That’s why I primarily sell at street fairs and on my own website with that type of art. It depends on each individual artist and how strict they are, I’ve had some listings on Etsy be totally fine and others get removed.

Wow you give great advice 👏 👏 Right now however cash is king. I disagree with your plastic square reader. I just returned from the 2023 Cooper Young Festival in Memphis, and cash was certainly king there. Hundreds of vendors had the plastic reader but they all preferred cash. Don't let the government take total control of your money.
