I loved this video, not only for the art which originally is why I subscribed years ago, but also for you. Anxiety is very debilitating, and difficult to explain to those who can’t understand it beyond being nervous for a job interview or big event. For me it’s on and off, most days are good, some are bad. Right now, it’s been bad for me, and hearing someone else experience the same emotions, yet are able find the beauty in the world to grow and create is really inspiring for me to do the same as a writer. Keep up the amazing work, I’d love to see more videos like this from you, they truly help.

I also suffer terribly from anxiety. I don't go out much. Thank God I have an amazing husband! Depression has been a life-long issue due to an incident from my childhood. So, I've been on one medication for quite some time. I just planted some seed as well. I found it very therapeutic. I am growing Sunflowers, Columbine and Bird's Eye. The Bird's Eye are white with dark purple centers. They are so pretty. I also have a lot of tropical plants, cactus and 2 very large Spider Plants. It helps me to keep my mind off of other things. I adore your Wisteria paintings! So pretty.

Love your channel...it's inspired me to learn more. I've only have 4 paintings I've done, which are hanging on my walls. I've now setup my small conservatory as an art space and looking to do some of your tutorials. The gardening is great...mine is like a canvas...it's an ongoing project. I really like sitting out there in the mornings an evening grabbing a coffee and chilling :-) Great you mentioning mental health...I think this past year and a half have affected everyone in some way. Now is the time to heal :-)

You are so right about gardening. I have struggled with a need to hide away for pretty much ever. I do make myself go out but find Im most comfortable at home and a fish out of water when not. This is an extension of art in itself. Creating and growing. I did a garden certificate over 30 years ago after completing my Diploma art. I got into medicinal herbs and circular gardens. I actually went on to complete a permaculture design certificate and have learned so much. Full circle now I'm into watercolour and acrylic painting and am loving the freedom that a bit of confidence makes. Your vids have inspired me and grown my own work. Thanks for sharing such passion and enthusiasm. Can I recommend you watch a UK guy - Charles Dowding. He is so inspiring and an amazingly clever and successful NO DIG gardener. I wish id found this method years ago. xx

I LOVE THE PAINTING 💖👌 and that's my favourite Taylor Swift song! Love love love it. I also struggle with depression on and off. I get obsessive with my hobbies and that seems to keep it at bay, somewhat. I have a lot of houseplants, knitting, crochet, made dream catchers for a while, love all kinds of baking and in 2020 I got very good at cooking and was especially interested in historical recipes. I have my paintings too, of course.. If I am well and truly depressed I can't paint. I always know I'm better when I can pick up a paintbrush again. It's so nice to see you back on KZbin again Katie 💖

love your art Katie, ive been doing so much art thru lockdown, and recently did my first oil s, of some flowers , i love how it came out!! so glad you've discovered gardening, iv done it for many years, and def helps with anxiety, mines been up & down thru past yr alot. Im presently struggling how to become a 'selling artist' with my many pieces, but don't know how/where to start, i tried putting some original pieces on etsy, but didnt sell anything, and was wondering other 'art' sites that i maybe more successful, also how to photograph and where to get them printed, its hard doing it online, ive always given my art away over the yrs...so glad to have it in my life tho, takes me into another world...which i think alot of us need at times :) thanks for sharing your lil world of beauty Katie big love x

I love your paintings and watching you paint them! I have two things I wanted to say. One, I didn't find the information about the pop paint things you showed at the beginning of this video. So, can you message me the link, I would really appreciate it! Two, depression and anxiety are so deceptive and debilitating. What originally drew me to watching your channel besides your beautiful art work was the way you came across. You seem the epitome of peace, tranquility, and calm, which is everything I need. Even the music you play is calming. I suffer from bipolar with major depression, severe anxiety, OCD, ADHD, migraines, fibromyalgia, and suicidal thoughts. So, I know the struggle and I just wanted to say thank you for being honest and open with your viewers. It is not an easy thing to put yourself out there. I'm glad you're finding some peace in your seedling garden. I need to find something like that for myself. I have always felt our peace comes when we connect back with nature in some way. Sorry for being so verbose. Just know you're not alone. Suzanne

Gorgeous painting! How long would the oil painting take to dry? Would it be possible for you to do an 'everything you need to start with" video for oil painting? Like good brushes and what to use to rinse them Inbetween changing colours on your brush and how to clean them properly afterwards? Info on liquid white if it's necessary, what the paint pucks are used for etc. Thanks 😍

So nice that you'll have your own array of flowers to draw inspiration from! I'd love to know how you clean up after oil painting - what do you do with your paint water, the scraps, etc? I find that so daunting, acrylic is much easier to deal with. And how do you paint the bottom side of the canvas when oils take so long to dry? 🙂

Can’t wait for all the flowers ☺️ I usually just throw the scraps away. There’s actually not much wastage when it comes to oils. But it can get messy! I usually paint all the edges in one go and carefully place it down to dry on a flat surface 😊 will you have a go at oils do you think?

Love how you are starting a garden. It is going to be Beautiful! One question about your prints! Do you photograph them, and then have someone make your prints? Here in the USA, I have to pay to get my artwork professionally photographed. $50 a painting 😮. It is so expensive. Just need some tips on how maybe I could do better about making prints more affordable . Love your Paintings!

Okay, I have to ask because my OCD is losing it: why do you not put lids back on your paint tubes? How is it your paint is not completely dried up? Love your work, love your art, but the uncapped paint thing is making my eye twitch.

It’s because once they have been used a few times they won’t go back on because of dried paint around the edges 😆

@@KatieJobling But that's how you decorate your floor and clothing! 😆 I totally understand. I fight with my tubes to make sure my caps are on at least somewhat properly. If that doesn't work, at least I have a paint sample and happy art reminder somewhere on my person. By the way, I can't wait to see how your seedlings mature. What was that very large whitish flower you shared? It took my breath away.

Hi Laura thanks for getting in touch. I use printful and I’ve been really impressed with them. As long as your initial file is good with a hires image and colour correction, the prints come out great! You can see from the reviews on my Etsy too. Wishing you the best with it! Very exciting 😃

That would be great! I'd like to know how you gauge how many prints to make from a painting. If it's worth doing 'limited prints'. And your thoughts and knowledge on giclee printing. In the past I've found getting prints done can be quite expensive and so I've had to put a higher price on the print... basically Katie any tips would be greatly appreciated!! Haha x
