You are very lucky. It's a wonderful heritage isn't it? To have two very talented people in the family tree. I was about 13 when I discovered your grandmother's wonderful voice...in 1977. Best wishes, and thanks, to you and your extended family. Be well and stay safe.

Your grandparents are legends, and the world was saddened at the loss of your grandad last year. Know that his music brought a lot of joy to generations of music fans. One of my friends still makes music with your grandmother. Out of interest, did you take up music yourself?

What a fantastic set design. Really captures the zeitgeist of the late '60s.
@pristusrana846824 күн бұрын
Hello ! The set was directed by Jean-Christophe Averty, a pioneer of French TV, and the art direction was by Belgian artist Guy Peellaert, comics drawer and painter of album covers for rock artists like David Bowie (Diamond Dogs) and the Rolling Stones (It's Only Rock 'n Roll). 11 december 1968.

What a mesmerizing video…in color, yet! Brian Auger & Julie Driscoll had talent beyond their years. Julie sang like a cross between Grace Slick meets Janis Joplin, with her OWN deep bluesy style thrown in for good measure. Truly one-of-a-kind!

Great version of a Donovan song from an underrated great singer IMO. Brian Auger is a legend

How did I get to overlook Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger. The Trinity also playing right in the pocket to produce supercool grooves, and Julie is cooler and hipper than many of her contemporaries, Carnaby fashion forward, and oh boy, can she sing! I'm also glad they got out their cine cameras and put in ground-breaking post production effects, their art style slap bang in the middle of Pop Art, the whole presentation beautifully put together, gorgeous to watch and listen to.

Terrific cover of Donovan. Painfully arty sets and flat ugly lighting. Best heard and not seen...
@ShamrockParticle3 жыл бұрын
Videotape never responded well with anything but flat lighting. Shows in the 80s onward would film scenes then edit on videotape in order to get away from the flat floodlit look. The artsy 60s stuff has a certain energy that feels more real than some of today's "overproduced" visuals.
