Hey everyone, I hope you’re all having a great week! If you’re interested in picking up one of 3dmakerpro’s scanners, be sure to check the description to save a little extra $$$. Enjoy and I’ll see you in the next one!

Your walkthrough was more detailed and comprehensive than anything the manufacturer put out on their own site.

Classic 3d scanner test. No dimensional test, scan nothing that you can really tell if it stitches correctly, avoid anything with flat surfaces, avoid anything bigger than a gnome. Not a completely useless review... so long as you only want to scan figurines.

How well does it capture an object that you can't spin around due to its size? Also if it's flat against something?

Great review. Thanks.

These people's ads on social media are painfully misleading compared to this.

What do you need to do to scan the bottom? You put it on that axis and then align it later in your software ?

What are the specs of your laptop. I'm wondering if it will work on my laptop if I disable texture mapping. I have 16gigs rams. I have built in graphics

I wonder if you hit these subjects with some gray primer if they would scan a lot better? That gnome guy came out really well.

I've heard baby powder works too.

Or dry shampoo spray works too, and easy to apply

Im getting no picture in the preview, its just black, am I missing a driver or something? It detected the moose 3d scanner.
@tomhanauer69194 ай бұрын
Did you ever use a Mole scanner from 3dmakerPro? Because I have that, and as far as I can tell it is totally f'n useless.
@markm493 ай бұрын
Speaking the truth here - I was suckered into buying the Mile and it’s absolutely useless. This company bang out a new scanner every 2-3 months and never bother with the older ones. The software is also garbage.
@OffroadGeekDxb3 ай бұрын
Yes agree. The Axis gets fked up during scans and just creates useless scans. Need a bright area and matte light colored object.
@tomhanauer69193 ай бұрын
@OffroadGeekDxb Are you saying we need bright ambient light? I thought the scanner produced it's own 'light'

I want to scan old motorcycle parts. Anything you know of that will work?
@tomhanauer69193 ай бұрын
Sorry, I'm not experienced enough to say. But I can say, it doesn't matter if the parts come from a trike or a tractor, anything chrome, or gloss paint will be extremely difficult without surface treatment. Mat finish things much easier... check out the Einstar, I have never held one, but from reading it would seem to be significantly better than all of these sadly disappointing offerings. Good luck, and do let us know if you get any luck... honest info is sorely lacking.

Can you do a test on how deep you can scan holes and how big holes you need to achieve that depth?
@grabejud2 ай бұрын
Specs says can go up to 100mm deep

Hi. How does this scanner compare to revopoint pop3 or what would be the direct competition to this scanner?

They scammed me with their fucking useless Seal, I doubt this one is any better.

This seems like a pain in the ass. How many polygons are the scans on average? I'm using polycam on my phone and they end up being around 50k each time. I was hoping to get one of these to improve accuracy and lower polycount.

Thanks for the video, I’d like to get one but what do you recommend for an inexpensive baseline computer that can handle the software and processing, minimum requirements…
@ArtByAdrock4 ай бұрын
I would say at least 8gb Ram. More is always better but you’d be fine with 8. I personally like Lenovo computers but that’s just me. And brand would be fine just don’t get a cheap chromebook

Ok good, I have a Thinkpad 16GB i3 2.60GHz 64 bit I’m not very computer savvy either so not sure if I’m a little outdated too? Thank you

You can get a handle for connecting to an Android phone or iPhone - about $189 I think. Unless you have powerful processor or iPad, you’ll need a reasonable computer for editing.

Thank you soo much for your fantastic video and information. Do you know if there is any subscription fees or annual costs to keep using the scanner? Thanks😊

No, there is no fees or any subscriptions to pay for. Software is free for life 👍🏻

This review shows the Moose includes a turntable and tripod, but looking on their website it includes neither.
@scotthammond65894 ай бұрын
So the colour texture is built into the moose? You didnt have to get the colour kit seperately?
@ArtByAdrock4 ай бұрын
Yes it’s built in.

why do all yall scan the same crap? like do some animals or people? who cares about little statues that you can just find a stl online for free- makes zero sense to spend 500 ish bucks on something then use it to scan 3 dollar stls...
