The advice about the watercolor fairy at the end of this video is priceless and so true. Let a painting rest a bit from your eyes and most times you'll find it's not so bad after all! Happens to me and I know it happens to others too! Your beach scenes are all fabulous too, my favorite was the first. Thanks, Paul for your sense of humor and the generous talent you share with us.

I loved all three of these. I live near the beach in North Carolina. Actually, I live on the sound side, but I can look out across the sound and a creek and see the ocean. I see so many changes in the light, and the characteristics of the clouds, and wonder how in the world I can paint this! Thanks so much.

One question, the warm color in the sky you say is yellow ochre. However, it sure looks like cadmium yellow, but maybe my screen doesn’t show the accurate color?

A couple of times I've nearly destroyed what I thought was rubbish only to look at them again and find that they were probably amongst my best efforts. It sometimes works the other way of course.

A few hours by the sea, walking along, watching, listening, feeling the sea water, seeing the everchanging different light conditions re-energises the soul and the mind... Water, fresh or salty has a magnetic draw... talking of magnetic, the third painting had an almost ethereal northern light quality to it. Thank you Paul 🙏

Ahhh… absolutely stunning! Made me gasp a little at the beauty! Then thought, surely it wouldn’t be possible for me to create something that beautiful… and then, step by step, Mr. Paul showed how it’s really quite simple…. Just wave your brush back n forth, to and fro, and viola! Beautiful paintings that look incredibly beautiful and complicated, made simple enough for me to try! Thank you again Paul!
