Also, they were denied from NATO in 2008. It is the least the EU can do after they abandoned them. Relying on Russia however, as they *obviously* do, is a very bad omen. (Abkhazia is basically the same thing that happened in “South Ossetia” , Crimea, and now the rest of Ukraine. And it’s mind blowing how many people are oblivious).

One has to have nerve to say that psycho murderers like Beria and Stalin had anything to do with Georgia except for their birthplaces. Georgia was the last nation in the caucasus standing against bolsheviks while you're beloved Lakoba was leading russians in his motherland. Stalinist regime killed and sent to Siberia more Georgians than any other people in the south caucasus. It is a total madness to identify Georgian nation to Stalinist regime. Tengiz Kitovani who decided personally, against directives of Georgian officials, to march to abkhazia first started civil war in tbilisi and did exactly the same there what he was doing in Abkhazia. Both him and Mkhedrioni bandits were as hated by most of the Georgians as they were by abkhaz. Georgian population of Abkhazia had literally nothing to do with the starting of the war and they were totally unjustly punished by the abkhaz sadists, who now are recognized as national heroes in abkhazia. 4. Even if nothing i have written was true, it still doesn't justify the worst war crime which is ethnic cleansing, no matter how much you try. if Ukraine starts just massacring and forcing russian population from their homes, this will be a crime against humanity, no matter who started the actual conflict.

They were strong allies of Russia and participated in settling historical Caucasian lands when Muslims were sent to Ottoman Empire, including other parts of Georgia, like Samtskhe-Javakheti or Tao-Klarjeti. Armenians being Russian allies were one of the main reasons why Turks organized genocide against them at the end of the WW1. Btw small part of Abkhazian refugees was sheltered by Muslim Georgians in Adjara after their ship wrecked or something and couldn't continue the voyage. Their descendants still live there. Georgians revolted several times themselves against Russian rule between 1800 and 1860's don't blame Georgians with allying Russians, it's just hilarious, Georgians wouldn't even be 5% of the Army who fought against Caucasians. Likewise, some North Caucasians participated in putting down uprisings in other parts of Georgia but it doesn't mean, let's say Ingush people allied with Russians against Georgians. As for colonizing, the land was empty and better settle historical Georgian lands with Georgians from neighboring provinces than completely turn it into a Russian land like Ubykh or other Circassian lands. Greeks, Russians, Armenians and others migrated to Abkhazia and settled there, the territory was still controlled by the Russian empire and they had no privileges for Georgians whatsoever. It was just the case of the climate, Russians couldn't survive subtropical climate of Abkhazia while Georgians already living there and nearby could. As we mentioned Ubykhs, it's important to point out that Sochi was also historically part of Abkhazia but you don't seem to claim it today, I wonder why? On the other hand, Georgians fought fiercely with Abkhazians in 1918-21 against Russians to retain westernmost part of what is now Gagra and Pitsunda areas.

A total of 59 states abstained from voting for the resolution. Laos and Vietnam, who voted last year against the return of Georgian refugees, did not take part in the voting this year. Recall that in 2022, 95 countries supported the resolution, 12 were against, 56 abstained. Armenia did not vote. In previous years, the dynamics of voting was as follows: • In 2020, 84 countries supported the resolution, 13 were against, 78 abstained, Armenia did not vote; • In 2019, 79 countries supported the resolution, 15 opposed, and 57 abstained. What really happened was that Majority of the population of Abkhazia were Georgians forming over 45% in 1989 and basically same as Russians(14%), Abkhazians(17%) and Armenians(14%) combined, but after the war and Genocide of Georgians by those 3 groups, Georgians who survived had to leave their homes and spread across rest of the Georgian regions. Currently Abkhazia might be occupied but not for a long. Economy of Abkhazia is Scrambled, life is shit there and people are basically starving. You are probably not Abkhazian or Georgian I assume. I think you cannot clam that they don't understand their own conflict. Yes, they did live together for a long time, but they lived most of that time under someone. Romans, Greeks, Turks, Persians, Mongols, Russians. That gave them a common enemy and before 19th century nationalism wasn't really a prevalent. In 20th century it kicked in, and let just say that Georgians didn't treat Abkhazians realy well. And the Abkhazians, drugged by separatism, began to arm themselves precisely under the influence and according to the Armenian plans of inciting separatist conflicts, by analogy with the “Artsakh” one. In addition, it should be taken into account that the Meskhetians themselves are an ethnic group of mixed Georgian-Turkic origin. Many Meskhetians are aware of their Georgian roots, consider themselves Muslim Georgians, and are no different from other Muslim Georgians, the Adjarians. It was these Meskhetians (who are aware of their Georgian origin) who first of all wanted to return to Georgia after the tragic events in Fergana. Also, from the above passage from the story of Valeria Olyunina, it is clear that even then the USSR authorities patronized the Armenian nationalists. And instead of disarming illegal armed extremist formations that violate the rights of Soviet citizens to free movement across the territory of the USSR, they did not even allow parts of the internal troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs to disarm the presumptuous Armenian nationalists.

Definitely wouldn't've expected to ever see radical Abkhazian propaganda in the mainstream, the fact that these people really think the way the do and percieve themselves as benevolent and valiant freedom fighters after their history of separatism, fascism and unnessecary bloodshed is truly insane. I'm all for listening to the other side of different conflicts and understanding their point, but this _REALLY_ is not it... But with all that said, I love Abkhazia, I really do. It's one of the most beautiful and diverse parts of already very beautiful Georgia, with many geological records such as two deepest caverns in the world, shortest river, strongest underground water streams, etc. And the fact that the Soviet Union's heritage has been partially preserved is very nice. It has unfortunately vanished in most of Georgia, with statues, mosaics, bas-reliefs & other Soviet architecture destroyed/abandoned.

In order to limit Georgian cultural influence in Abkhazia, the Russian administration decided to create an Abkhazian alphabet based on Russian graphics, which should facilitate the Russification of Abkhazians in the future. This is how the first Abkhazian alphabet was created in 1862, which was subsequently changed several times. In 1928-1938, Latinized script was used, in 1938-1954, the alphabet created on the basis of Georgian graphics was used, since 1954, the alphabet developed on the basis of Russian graphics has been used. 8:29 according to her every state/province/Oblasts/ any other administrative divisions must be a separate country which has its own culture or language, like as she mentioned Abkazia has its own culture and language that's why it must be separate country. According to her concept countries like mine Republic of India(Bharat) which has states, some states have similar culture and language and some are different from each other, so states which has its own culture and language must be an independent country. In the same way Russia consists of many Republics which is completely different from russian culture and language like for example Republic of Yakutia, Keralia Oblast, etc. Above mentioned must be independent according to her consists, russia must give independence to them. She and the peoples of Abkazia(who supports independence)deserve all those things like as she mentioned 'neither going to Russia nor west', no recognition.

Annex of this region by the Russians and acknowledging the Abkhaz people in there, while investing a lot of money for tourists from all over would make a lot of sense woudnt it ? ? Its no like they re not being held alive by the russian while we speak.
