ARTEMIS IRST: eyes on the sea

With a high-performance cooled infrared camera installed in each sensor head, ARTEMIS automatically detects, tracks and classifies a wide range of above-water threats based on their infrared signatures. The system can track and publish to the Combat Management System (CMS) up to 200 short- and long-range targets at the same time - including very low-flying fighters, supersonic and sea-skimming missiles and fast boats or jet skis manoeuvring at high speed.
