the talking to ppl less and less is true. When i came into ff14 2 years ago, i got more social after WoW, even with rp and club stuff. I went into a fc and had a raid grp. These days i play alone. I dont even look at my flist anymore. I dont do social or clubs anymore. I dont even have a fc anymore. i raid in a moody static 2 days a week and the other time i exist ingame, standing in Limsa, doing some roulette and island stuff here and there, get some glamming ideas and thats it. ^^

@TheRealAlexFlame

But then you'll say that you aren't okay with just maple syrup and want strawberries added to the pancakes. And then once you get that you'll complain that the strawberries and syrup were too much and you wish you had simple pancakes. And then rinse and repeat. People complained about the exact opposite of things back in ShB. And now that EW is easier and lighter suddenly people like Zepla can grind out videos on why it's the worst expansion and other dumb hot takes.

@Turamwdd
@Turamwdd 11 ай бұрын
@@chrispyy99 Naw, she is a doomer who built an audience playing a game hardcore and then eventually got tired of it. The game doesn't currently have a grind and she is forced to either do something else. YoshiP has, for years, talked about taking time off to play other things. People like Zepla were too stupid to realize that hardcore, 40-hr a week players was not what the game was designed around. And Zepla is pissed at her audience because she is doing other things and people aren't watching her (and she is generating less money - see her talk with Preach). That is the risk when a solo streamer goes variety. She just needs to toughen up and start building a new audience instead of whining about her FF14 audience.

The problem is that he had maple syrup for several days already but forgot all about that. Then when it goes to plain (which he is supposedly okay with), he suddenly wants the maple syrup again. No game can constantly update to that degree that Arthas wants in his example.

When my parents had their first dog, they listened to my sister-in-law and the dog got the same food every day. In the beginning she ate without problems, but one day she took a bite, spit it out and looked at my mother. My mother was confused and as i asked her if she would like to have her favourite food every day she kinda realized. After that the dog got the same food with a bit of fresh fruits, sometimes cheese, potatoes, some meat or leftovers. She never refused her food ever again, instead she was always hyped for it... Even though the basic food stayed the same and she only got like 1/4 of variable content. Game companies could feed us like a dog and we'd be happy.

Lmfao that makes no sense, she wants to log in and do stuff but there is nothing to do because they added content that can be cleared in one day and then there is just... emptiness. It's not that hard to understand. Just because your spirit would break with taking on an ultimate prog on release doesn't mean it's the same for others. Imagine understanding that people aren't all one and the same and the world isn't just how you see it.

Much like wandering through a table top rpg campaign, I enjoy wandering, FATEing, HUNTing, and instances over 55. I love the world and being my own character. A level 90 eureka instance would be nice to see our full ability kit. Queuing instances for tomestones makes it easier to get away from the computer and deal with offline priorities too. I game slowly and started in mid stormblood. I finally feel like I'm "caught up" with leveling battle and crafting job in endwalker. 90 levels of story is alot to play through. Imagine a new sprout starting FFXIV this 2023 year, and that feeling of "am I behind" in this live service game. Savage raiders might be bored, but there's so much other content than savage raiding, especially 100% completion gamers like myself. It will be interesting to see how Square Enix bridges the gap between older veterans and new sprouts from now till dawntrail. Much like the survival of a town, new people is how a town or game grows and stays alive.

As someone who leans more into casual to "midcore" content that doesnt have any interest in savage and ultimates, I have plenty on my plate that I want to do like farming the hunt mounts, ocean fishing, big fishing, collecting tt cards, housing, pterodactyl mount. However, I still yearned for a piece of content like bozja or eureka that brings most of the community from all spheres of gameplay together in some form that helps shake up the more casual content I pursue. I feel the playerbase might be too divided right now into smaller pieces of content. Although there is tons of people that show up for hunt trains and S marks it just isnt really difficult in any capacity.

FFXIV has downtime, it has slow periods, it comes back with good quality content every time. go play other games,, distance makes the heart grow fonder. and the people that like the game and want to reconnect when it starts back up again will do so. The duty support is a very bad system for anyone who wants interesting dungeons. The AI can't handle anything but simple mechanics, so now we can never have anything like the doors on Diabolos or anything similar. The devs have to make the dungeon so something, that can't think at all, can still complete it easily.

Endwalker’s patch content has just been horrible to the point that there hasn’t really been anything worth doing outside of the savage raids and ultimates. I genuinely believe that 7.0 will see a huge drop off of players until they start to listen to the fans. All they’re doing is trying to balance a fundamentally broken PvP mode (the fact that they consider multi queuing and proper communication as too OP even for casual queues says all you need to know) and trying to appeal to single player gamers whose attention they can’t realistically hold throughout an entire expansion because it’s simply not what they’ll be playing for.

So the best thing about Duty Support, other than the lines of dialogue, is that you actually get to LEARN the dungeon. When you are playing with other players, you can't help but feel if you go through DC for the first time and are just dying left and right that you are infringing on the fun of others. Then again, the counter-argument is that said people will not get that nice boost in rewards for you doing it the first time. I usually run DS for a few times as a tank or healer class. I roll DPS if I am doing something for the first time through DF.

Yes, Eureka and Bozja worked to create an MMO feel, but even earlier relic weapons helped the overworld game feel more alive even for new/lower level players by forcing you to run older dungeons and revisit the previous expansion zones. There's a gap between the free to play players in their bubble keeping those expansions relevant and active, and the latest expansion content, where the overworld and dungeons for (for now, SB and ShB) where there's very little activity, and this could be boosted by some of that content forcing higher players back down into it to keep it 'alive' rather than dead while everyone is sitting in towns.
@Lupostehgreat

So, this is actually pretty constructive criticism and I can vibe with this. I would love for their to be more incentive for other people to play, say, the alliance raids from Heavensward through Shadowbringers by having special drops, pursuits, etc that the hardcores can be incentivised to do, which would help people like myself who just want to grind this content for glamours, fun, etc. Right now 10th Anniversary is probably helping with that, but that will end in a week and we will likely go back to 30 minute or more waits for non-Crystal Tower alliance raids. I would love for there to be something like weekly raids which grant more XP/Gil/loot drops, etc for certain raids so encourage them to be populated more than twice a fucking day.

I'm very casual gamer, i don't like "hardcore mode" etc... But Endwaler is the worst extension, and maybe the eye opener. I started the game at 5.2. I really like the story, because you have to become the warrior of light and you discover light and darkness are the same, not the story of good one against the bad one. But i was a little bit disappointed : the DJ are the same structure (4 packs of mob, 1 boss, 4 packs of mob, 1 boss, 4 packs of mob and final boss, every along the aisle), and the raids/boss are the same too : big plateforme with the boss in the middle or at the edge. And of course, some part of story like the "gang of lalafel" who should have been the main point of Heavensward disappeared quickly... But when Endwaler is launched, i was so disappointed by everything !!! For exemple : - Story : please, i expected something more "adult", and we got "yeah the power of love of hydaelyn is super fancy" "trust in the friendship yeahhh" ... god, i expected we gotta a neutral position, or the power to choose between ascian and hydaelyn. No, Hydaelyn is right and ascians were wrong... no sorry, i'm not ok ! - Content : nothing news, same kind of dj and raid ... just the color and characters change... the story of 6.1-6.4 is so boring and still "yeah being friend is so cool, look, be my friend, everything will be good after, yeahhhh" - New type of content : making "solo mod" in MMO rpg, i think they were more occupied by the sort of streamers than thousand players playing mmo to play with other players. They create an island to play alone in MMO ... And DJ with a harder level ... Please, MMO is the kind of game where the creativity is possible, where you can do anything !! but with ff14 , the community is happy just with emote to simulate sex in limsa lominsa ...

@@tuduermestrop8474 I don't think you understood Endwalker's story if all you got out of it was "Hydaelyn was right, Ascians were wrong." You know Venat was an Ascian, right? And Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeous, also Ascians, help you in the end? The expansion goes to great lengths to show that Hydaelyn Sundering Eorzea came with its own sacrifices and costs. And then to do that over, and over, and over again, further diluting her own power, further pushing Eorzea to losing its aetherial protection against Dynamis... it all culminates in the Final Days happening at some point, because Hydaelyn was only putting a bandaid on a gaping wound. It's extremely adult to examine the cost of trying to save a world, to explore how a heroic sacrifice actually made the world worse. And lol, "friendship overcoming all odds" is about as Final Fantasy as it gets. I don't even know how to react to your weird summary of the patch MSQ.

I feel like the guys who followed the absolutely best part of ARR (that final mission) just didn't know what to do with it, afterwards, since they wanted to instead focus on the Dragonsong War and introducing The Warriors of Darkness. I just wish they didn't do the stupid fakeout of "well, actually Lolorito was just engaging in some way to get rid of Teleji Adeleji so he played along with the fake assassination so Raubahn would assassinate Teleji." I have always said as a new player (started Nov2021) the difference between me and others is new content feels like "additional content" where new content for others feels like "the only content" because they have completed everything else. That is why I am happy these conversations are happening yet not really engaging with them myself, I trust people like you and Zepla to speak out and work to keep this game good, why would I not trust you guys, you have been the core of the ffxiv twitch space since I started and always showed passion for the game. So I hope newer players like myself remember that its good to enjoy the game and its okay to not be involved in these discussions if they make for feel negative, but these discussions are IMPORTANT and will make the game better when the "additional content" one day becomes OUR "only content"

This is a nice take on the current state of things. Anybody who raises problems about the current content cycle leaving them high and dry are more or less told to shut up and be grateful that we aren't *forced* to grind now like we're in the WoW mines, and with concerning frequency. The game was ALWAYS respectful of your time, it had a good balance of things to do if you wanted to pursue them, and freedom to put it down for a while without falling behind in any significant way. The major difference now in EW is that all of the long term content that you COULD do if you so chose has been stripped down to be completable in about a week without even trying that hard, or removed outright. A lot of people seem to refuse to acknowledge the perspective of veteran players now more than ever, shaming and putting them down for expecting more of the game at worst. So it makes me relieved to hear a self-professed new player being understanding of the situation players who have kept up with endgame for a long time are in. These discussions are very important, but all sides need to be willing to have them :D

Bozja was good for what it was but as an actual zone, it sucked horribly. It was ugly, barren, and the scaling was a disaster if you’re not in a group of 30 melting the boss down. Outside of the XP rates and dungeon mounts, the actual rewards were pretty worthless even as Glams. Everything else about it was great though. They needed to work on a few things that were thoroughly undercooked and it would be a staple piece of content, scrapping it entirely is an odd designing when Deep Dungeons exist.

Not to mention it looks like Eureka/Bozja-like content will probably be returning next cycle. I also am hoping Variant Dungeons get introduced to all previous expansions, just as they are just finishing DS for all previous expansions. I get that people are pissed because there is no Eureka/Bozja, but I highly doubt that if there were the numbers of players in that content that people keep saying there are, then you will see a new version next cycle. However when you have systems in place where people complete in a few hrs and then done with not much replayability, people will quit and do as you say and while thats fine it does suck when you end up with players who have forged friendships with their fc mates or statics and now you dont really get to play with anyone. Atleast from my experience the game is slowly becoming more antisocial. the past 4 fcs ive been in that say theyre active and do events, they only have like 2 people online half the time and no one gets on discord. While i enjoy FF14 for its Story i like the group activitys and fc bonding and right now for alot of fcs that arent part of the clubbing and rp community, that is happening to them now. Also i poorly worded that bit about finished content, what i meant was i finished the main content then dabbled in the casual content and it just wasnt for me as far as a form of endgame, obv you cant please everyone but for people (not saying you) to get mad and triggered when someone states an opinion they have about the game is kinda stupid. They get mad because you dont enjoy the game they play it so they have to send the attack dogs on anyone who says something about the ff14 even if it wasnt in "shitting on the game" way.

@@jackjohnson8305 The only problem with that take in the current state of the game is that the EW patches have factually, demonstrably, less content to them than any previous expansion's. When you've exhausted XIV's existing backlog of things to do because you've been playing along while it was recent, it becomes impossible to ignore how much quicker a new patch runs dry in EW than previous ones, even though we're still paying the same amount for a month's worth of game time as we always have. Even if you *want* to play it some more because it's what you're in the mood for, most things that could sustained interest over a longer period of time have been gutted in EW, Relic Weapons being the case in point. That's the big problem here, not that people demand endless entertainment from XIV, but that anything that can sustain interest if you WANT to invest more time has severely dwindled, and I consider that a big negative for a game that requires a certain critical mass of players always being active to survive. It's not noticeable to people who are fresh and starting with this huge backlog of old content, and doesn't understand what old patches had to offer, but as someone who's supported this game for almost 7 years at this point, I've never felt more neglected than I have in EW.

I disagree on one point. While it may not be the player's 'fault' that they get burnt out and need to play a different game, it's also not the game's fault. Human Beings aren't meant to have one single form of entertainment for years upon years. It doesn't matter how good a game is, you will get burnt out eventually. People keep saying how it's 'more of the same' and how they want new news, not the same news. But... what would that new news be? Nobody has any ideas, nobody has any alternatives. They are doing new things, adding new things to the game, but people don't like them. They DID try something new this expansion, and people got upset that it wasn't the same as things from past expansion. Basically people don't want new things in the game, they want it to not be the same game anymore. They have twisted their view of the world, where what they are feeling, is the desire to play a different game. But they are forcing that view into, instead of being 'play a different game', they want to 'play the same game, but have it become a different game'.

In terms of content just running out, isn't this just a part of all MMO's? I feel like it's actually impossible to create endless content where you keep coming back for more, day by day, and not feel at least burnt out after a while of doing it. Also some games can accomplish this like Counter-Strike or Valorant for example, but those games are PVP focused and the content is competing against other players. But still, eventually people will get burnt out in games like those as well. So let's keep the conversation strictly to MMO's. while it IS true that its downright impossible to create content that keeps you "busy" or wanting to log in all the time, buuuuut at the same time, what MMO players in general are saying, especially the vets of any paticular MMO, is wanting to have content that actually is replayable and actually lasts longer that what we have. plus the formula is just straight up stale. its never a good sign when any piece of content, whatever it may be, legit dies in less than a week. if that piece of content is to succeed in a MMO, it needs to A) last and B) provide an incentive to actually do it. like a really good reward like maybe a mount or like a piece of gear for example. and alot of EW doesn't have that at all. which is where alot of this is coming from. nothing in this expansion should die in a week and there is 0 incentive to even do it to begin with so its like why even bother.
@Pandrawrr
@Pandrawrr Жыл бұрын
So what I'm gathering from what you're saying is the reward structure is weak right now. Which yeah I could see. I know that you can get the mount really easily in something like criterion/variant, but do they offer anything else in terms of rewards? Like tomes? I know they don't drop gear, which tbh they should. Maybe they could make it take longer to obtain said rewards, but that also feels like it would feel terrible. Also I know Stormblood and Shadowbringers released with PotD and Bozja respectively, and yeah Endwalker hasn't released something similar in terms of replayable content which is a terribly missed opportunity. Although I'm not gonna claim these are easy to just think up and implement while making them feel fresh from previous releases. It really does seem that FFXIV has suffered a bit in the content department because of YoshiP's split attention, but hopefully that won't be the case in the next expansion coming up or any further patches. @@KitaiAryik

@@Pandrawrr YoshiP's attention being split i think is part of the issue whether its being on the board of directors, which wont allow him to leave apparently at this point (being the golden goose with 14) could very well be one of several issues. since his focus is split between 16, 14, and to some extend running SE to a degree. which doesn't help at all. and with criterion rewards are pretty much abysmal to nonexistant at this current point. outside the mount (which can be sold on the market board btw) and maaaaaybe a glam or 2 the ONLY rewards for doing either savage or the normal versions of it is pretty much materia, which is already piss ez to get to begin with, there is 0 reason to even get em in the first place since you can just buy any of the rewards on the marketboard to begin with. so like why even do it. other than to check it out for the first couple days and thats about it. the rewards in 14 have been terrible for yrs. and with gear restricted to dungeons and mostly raids, its difficult to gear multiple classes since the tomestone caps very low with 19 and soon to be upped to 21 jobs next summer with DawnTrail, is a measly 450/week. and i do agree coming up with something like bojza/eureka is never ez to do but if taken out, what do we have that we can do that doesn't die in less than 7 days? that is something that they do need to figure out and it is up to the dev team to do so. while its never an ez thing to do, in the end i think that is something that still needs to be figured out. we MMO players can be a fickle bunch and its never possible to please EVERYBODY and all you can do is make something in the game that can apppeal to as many as possible and keep our attention for more than a couple days. CBUIII just has to figure out how to come up with a system that can be replayable and make use of what is already in the game and give us a reason to actually do it more than a single time or 2.

The thing is that the devs plan for this drop every expansion cycle (for things like massive maintenance, internal systems checks, etc.). You can tell because in ShB with the unpredictable influx of new players caught them off guard (though being on a pandemic caused a massive global shortage that didn't allow SE to get new servers in time). Another thing is that according to Lucky Brancho numbers though the number of people have dropped it is still significantly higher than it was back in SB (like a 50% increase, ShB is a bit unreliable due to the outlier conditions). So the devs know there is a drop of players from 6.0 but not enough for them to worry too much if people come back for 7.0 or 6.55 (players getting into the pre-expansion marketing groove that inevitably happens), if the number coming back don't hit early 5.0 levels then they might worry.

what i do to combat burnout is try to 100% all the side content and change what im working on every few days, so finish the achievement log, hunting logs, collect al mounts and triple triad cards, all MGP items, get all classes to 90, get the best gear and weapons for all classes, get all pvp rewards, complete fishing log, unlock all blue mage skills and masked carnival levels etc.

which is what most people do but if you look closely at content creators they heavily focus on one aspect of the game so at the end they run out of stuff to do in 14 so they cant play it anymore regularly... thats why you get people like xeno, arthars or here zepla which are complaining about the state of the game (and they do have their points im not saying they're wrong) but they are heavily biased at the fact theres no content "they" like in the game for them to do more of.

Why Zepla always looks desperate? KEKW But I agree with almost everything said, and I really dislike people Whiteknighting a multi bilionaire company like SE, treating like this is a small indie company, moslty people who defend are new to the game, and probably play casually so did not reached the limit of stuff to do, sadly, and talk those things about the game is really important, people who like this game and see their flaws, are not haters to point out and criticize, just want the game better. The main problem in FFXIV for sure, as mentioned is replayability, some contents are like "hello, here is your first time and last time pass, and here we will gate keep you not for your enjoyment, but for your weeklies, and also this 'cool' dungeon you will just rush like a chore just to get your tomes".

Though she has a point, I think a lot of her viewers (and subsequently her income) are from those who play FFXIV. When there is a content lull it hurts her bottom line and with her being forced to flee Eastern Ukraine due to the Russian Invasion (which means she lost her day job), I get it. Even though she plays other games she doesn't get as many viewers as whenever she plays FFXIV, when more people leave FFXIV (temporarily or permanently) she loses potential income. I think the white knighting can be a bit much from the community, but simultaneously I can understand and sympathize with what Yoshi P has to go through as a project manager. He has to assess the situation while trying to predict the future and fix backend problems emerging from a pandemic (where according to him they lost a few good workers) while being split between his duties as a Board Member and director/producer of two AAA games in a company known for executive meddling and mismanagement.

Man I fucking loved stormblood, not sure if it was because I was still fresh in the game, because I started around the end of Heavensward, but damn SB was actually super fire, the raids were fun, the mechanic changes were fun, TANKING was fun (not anymore sadge), but I think the reason why ppl are burning out is because the game is always playing it safe, it always sticks to the same formula so much so that even before an expansion releases you already know which patch will bring which content. It's getting stale and maybe it's time for some riskier changes edit: what happened to the 50-man savage raids man, it was SO SICK , why didn't they make more, holy shit

I've been thinking about the relic quests and it almost sounds like they are repositioning relic weapons to supplant and potentially even replace the tomestone weapon as a gearing option. Maybe there will be some kind of 'artifact' weapon that would bring a new grind to the table. It's all just a theory, a game theory, but I think it would bring a refreshing take to the table. Also, the current relic weapon 'grind' reminds me of when WoW introduced 'welfare epics' with the badge vendors. I think the overall sentiment is very similar.

the relic weapons on content is always worse then the tome weapon, when anabaseios dropped the tome weapon had more weapon damage, and so did the p12s weapon, relic weapons will always remain a late tier parsing option and a ultimate gearing option

I guess that's ok to do a year-two break from ff, but the housing and fc system is fucked up. You have to visit this game each mounth to keep your fc/house, thats dumb (i am owning fc just for submarines) Long breaks would be less stressful if you can like put some money inside your house to keep it being your while you not playing or something like that, but yoshi wont do it. Guess why? Do breaks but keep paying.

SE dropping relic quests/grind was a boneheaded decision. Reward structure for criterion sucks, it'd be nice if you got gear that you could use or unique cosmetic items, but nah everything you can just buy off the mb. SE hasn't had any innovation to their gear formula in a decade, if you don't do savage raids you won't ever have the best gear. Maybe it's time to try something new? I'm not sure mythic plus dungeons like WoW has could work in xiv, but an alternative way to gear would be a breath of fresh air.

All of these criticisms apply directly to FF16 as well and it’s unsurprising. Pretty and narrow “zones” with nothing in them, itemization so shallow that is not even worth mentioning, build variety non existence, all of it in service to some “optimization” that just sucks the fun, character, and charm out of the game. Ffxiv has no room for spontaneous player exploration. The patch cycles are predictable down to the letter, the jobs are all homogenized, the new zones are all window dressing with nothing in them, etc. It’s a shame and I hate to see it go down this path. Yoshi and his crew are great at what they do, but what they do is cater to an audience instead of creating a compelling product that has a vision. They should be pushing the envelope with new idea. and convincing the players of their merit by executing it well, not just reading data and eliminating any system friction and player agency.

I like how much easier it is to change stats, but the grind to get the weapon is bland. I started playing just before Shadowbringers launched. I ground out all of the PLD relics other than Eureka because that place was completely empty whenever I would go in. Endwalker's relic designs started bland (Amazing), got a little interesting (Majestic), and then they just became generic (Mandervillious). They don't have the visual punch of the previous designs and the grind to get them isn't even memorable. There's no sense of dedication or a goal to achieve, its just 'okay here you go'. With the previous relics I have good memories of grinding out the older relics, even the Atma grind.

For me the payoff to the story just fucking sucked. The build up was PHENOMENAL, everything was great until you reached the end of Endwalker and everything is just magiced back to life and the good guys win and everyone goes home. That's fucking boring, this is about the 5th time they've just killed of Scions just to bring them back for shock factor, and each time the characters become more and more bland to appeal to their shallow fanbase that just wants hot characters to suck their dick over every little thing they do. Take the Crystal Exarch for example, AMAZING character, reduced to a fucking Adoring Fan clone who's only purpose is to be on screen and make the community go "Haha cute cat boy eat burger", he should have just died at the end of ShB and that's the end. Characters used to actual have CHARACTER back in HW, they all had motives, aspirations, story arcs, they actually grew. Now they just live to suck off the WoL and that's it. Outside of the story EW content was alright, as always the savage content was a banger but that's really it. It's not enough to make me want to keep playing. (And I don't)

Why do people think the changes to relic was done out of laziness and lack of people? Rather than just a purposeful design decision since these time sinks towards too specific a content type was an annoyance to most people? The change didn't remove content as implied. It didn't lesson what there is to do. It simply expanded what you could choose to do for your grind, you do the new stuff because you want to and not because it is the sole path to the weapon. I'm glad they aren't like "hit 1000 fates in this one specific zone and do this criterion 70 times." And NO, you couldn't "choose what to do" back then in ShB. You were stuck doing those fates and Bozja raid grinding. If you didn't do it, you didn't get your weapon. NO, you didn't loose content, new stuff is just separate. How up your own @ss do you have to be to call OTHER people selfish when your biggest complaint about relics is that the efficacy strategy is different content than where you want it when the tradeoffs were more choices for people? Zero self-awareness. I see what all of this crying is actually about: The design decision to not have a Euerka/Bozja. They put that development time into new stuff like criterion and crystalline conflict and other things that are, quite frankly, better received and loved by the community. It isn't like Eureka/Bonza was some staple of the game, it was an experiment they only attempted in half of the expansions we've gotten with mixed to negative results. And I say that as someone who LIKED Bozja and wants to do more Eureka. It's shelf life just isn't there though, it isn't as useful to the game long term and people didn't want to run it outside of their short-term relic grinding. If we got one in EW, it would LITERALLY already be "dead content" in the same way you call Criterion. But, at least we get to choose.

We're getting longer waits between patches, then the patches have less content than before, then the content is so braindead you can finish it all in 4 days, and then the way you play the content has gotten so simple and homogenized.

I think one of the core problems to FF14 is tha despite being a game for everyone, doesn't mean it has what everyone needs. Some of the casual player demands: More housing, more gold saucer games, more dungeons with NPC, and some of them complain the extreme trials are too much. Some midcore/hardcore player demads: More difficult trials, gear system needs to change, the watered down rotations need to go away, and the delay between patches. Having said that, people doesn't mention oftenly the big elephant in the room which is Square. With FF14 being one of the most sucessful if not the most successful MMO at the moment, they don't feel the need to improve. They are managing the game in a super safe mode. Kinda like Nintendo when it makes consoles that are like 2 gens behinds in terms of technological specs, but still sell like hot cakes. Square won't make the effort to increase the budget and bring in more content that is not the typical "new scenario, new fights, new recipes". We have been dancing to this tune over 10 years. As long as they don't see their player base shrinking a lot, they won't have anything to worry about.

The pvp is SO BAD! i keep hearing people say that its pretty good but i love pvp and for me its completely fallen off. i hate how the jobs actions have continued to be cut down to button mashing 4 buttons, they ruined pvp in endwalker for me and i was hoping it was going to get better. crystalline conflict broke my heart and is part of the reason I quit logging on. Yeah, streamers are having a rough go of it because it's just not a game conducive to maining as a streamer unless you raid or do PVP. Asmongold said he noticed when Endwalker first dropped that once you run out of MSQ the viewers leave. That's because FFXIV viewers are mainly there for react content to the MSQ, not the game, itself. That does not mean the game is bad, just that it is not CoD where the skill ceiling is so high that watching a professional will give you more insight into the game and encourage you to watch. I wouldn't watch someone grind out Night in The Woods or Dear Esther, either, or play Resident Evil 4 Remake for every day for 8 hours at a time, either. You don't get anything out of it. Now, this does not mean that there is none of that in the game, as you can see from Raiders, or from watching Pint try to get the world record on Kugane Tower.

I dont know how she can complain that endwalker is "predictable" but at the same time complain about the things in endwalker that were done differently, like having extra trials in the patch story rather than a separate story for it and also having varinnt/criterion dungeons/island sanctuary while skipping on a bozja type zone. endwalker patch quests / ff4 spoiler... golbez dies in ff4.. patch patch quests for endwalker? He diesnt die,, didnt predict that based on existing knowledge of ff4.. 1:12:50 sbh trial questline fights were literally taken from ff7 as she said, sapphire, ruby, emerald and diamond so anyone that played ff7 could clearly guess what was coming.. so thats such a stupid argument to act like thats a reason for the EW ones being bad but not a reason why the sbh ones were bad.. other than the boss fights themselves the sbh trial story was the backstory of Gaius Baelsar.. like wise the story of the the patch quests (b/c its like ew trial questline was included in the patch content) goes into more details about the voidsent and the thirteen that weve been hearing about the entire game.. they are both " questions answered" content.. so it doesnt matter if it doesnt lead into anything else in the future.

they did the same thing that slowly killing all the mmo because of few fuckheads with loud voice screamed heavy and loud that they don't want to grind for shit. BUT there is a world apart between 'doing shit daily for 2 hours and 'just raid log dude'' but in the end . if there is nothing exciting to grind a tons of player will leave out the game once their reach their 'goal' and you see ppl leave for months. but if you have something to grind for you get more ppl connected daily and more interactions and then more activities. it's a vicious circle. don't kill them with "daily requirement ' but at least give something for the degenerates ! they are the guys that make guilds , the economy etc and keep the group content alive ! i love how diablo 3 take care of this. if you have 20 minutes just do some adventures and grab a few materials for your crafting. oh you are almost BIS ? hey why don't you try to get some even more powerful legendaries? you can refine your equipment for a loooooong time before being 'complete' and even if you ain't looting shit you still get more paragon points. it keep the hardcore player 'online' and so you still get ppl to group with and it make everyone happy

Can't really get burnout in ff14, there are no dailies, weeklies, monthlies, no fomo bullshit, you just do the content and then put the game down because you did everything, burnout implies you're doing something over and over again with no end in sight, chores burn you out, forcing yourself to play the game because you're a ff14 streamer burns you out, but that's not the game.

I dont get the mythic raid mentality. Rn at the end of the patch our guilds heroic raid is dead because we grinded out the season and "could" in theory try out mythic and maybe improve. But first of all we got someone in our heroic raid group that already does mythic raids at the side and cant join in due to lockouts, others are not on our server or even on the other faction... cant enter that way aswell... Achievement here or there it wont matter for mythic players how or in what form u enter, this argument from Ion only hides that they know they make money out of this shitty mentallity bcause of the Server-Transfer and Faction-Switch sails, its as simple as that...
