I've met Arthur, he's a diamond geezer and he still pulls lots of birds.

I saw ,The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown at The Fillmore East, NY in 1968. He was FABULOUS ! I think he had just a drummer and a B-3 organ player. It was the loudest B-3 organ sound I ever heard.

Phil Granito / were they carl palmer and vincent crane?

I saw him open up for Yes, Moody Blues' John Hodge, and Carl Palmers ELP. They only drew something like 4,000 people in a 15,000 venue---but it easily was one of my favorite concerts of the year.

I meet him a couple of times in the 90s he lived near brighton - Lewes. Went to a gig at a pub where they humped a hammond in and a hall somewhere as well where Tim Rose played. Really lovely guy. He seeemed old then - thin etc. he had these 2 old ladies who where his neighbors come along to the gig. Bizzarr stuff but very mellow guy.

Arthur Brown had elements of KI$$ way before KI$$ did and Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden claims he was inspired by Arthur's falsetto scream.

one thing thats obvious to me watching most of Jonesy's older geuests... as we get older, your memory goes. little details from stories you told a million times, aern't there any more. Arthur Brown, still sharp as a tack though.. and looking good. Hope I'm doing half as well at that age ..if I make it.

Good on Jonesy for trying TM, and sticking to it for two and a half years. Who'd have thought? Wonder if he knows he has The Beatles to thank for that, by popularizing TM through their association with the Maharishi.

The original Notting Hill riots before all the carnival violence in the 1970s was in the late 1950s early 60s with white racists and Teddy Boys protesting against the influx of West Indian immigrants, I think that's what Arthur was talking about though bless him he didn't have the clarity of mind to make that historical fact clear.
@written126 жыл бұрын
Ken Mills Yes, those were the riots he stumbled into.

I believe he moved back to the UK in recent years, but yeah, is probably still broke. Sometimes tours with whatever band/book/movie there is to promote, so there's a chance.
