Have the addresses the heat issue? I know with the cf express type b reader cards get extremely hot. Even if the card isn’t mounted, just having it in the reader will get it scaldingly hot. It’s probably not great for the cards and it drains your laptop battery. I have other brand card readers that don’t do this so it’s a prograde issue.

Good to know, I’ve tested multiple brands and they do heat up. This to me is no different than other brands, I’ll look into this further.

Hi Art, I came across your video about CFexpress Type A cards for my Sony a7IV. Since these cards are quite expensive, I'm wondering if I should go with this one or are there other options? I'm interested in continuing with photography, videography, and even cinematography. I currently have a V90 ProGrade 256GB card.

Great info! Is the new ProGrade card reader also compatible with other brands like the Sony Tough Type A cards?
