You can’t go wrong with either however I would lean towards the Tweedtone ever so slightly. The clean and dirty channels of the Tweedtone sounds better in my opinion even though the Cremetone is a monster!!! With Artist Guitars pricing these amps at a great price, you could probably get both for the price of one Fender amp!!!! Thank Shane and Artist Guitars!!!! Hopefully we can have more of the gear available to us folks in the USA!! Cheers! 🎸🎸🎸🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾

I'd use them both. Through a DOD A/B switch straight into the amp for each line. Other than reverb no processing at all. A separate chanel switch pedal for each amp. No muss, no fuss. TC-59 and a Strat-63. My preference is simplicity. Less is more. No digital anything.

I think the amps would be a bit too powerful for my needs, but I totally understand why you play out with the tweed tone, it sounds incredible. Why do so many reviewers demo clean tones with humbuckers? I've never heard a hummer that sounds "clean" to my ears in the way that single coils do. I preferred the Tweed for both "clean" and overdriven tones, but then again I never buy an amp based on it's distorted tones.

The Tweed Tone has the perfect size cabinet for that 70/80 speaker, which is why it sounds so unexpectedly good, whereas (in my opinion) the Creme Tone cabinet is too small (too narrow) for the V30 speaker to "breathe" properly, but you can still hear the slightly sharper/clearer edge in the V30 sound. Thanks Shane!

Both great amps for the money.. I personally prefer the smoother brighter sound of the Cremetone with less muddiness than the Tweedtone, especially clean. The Tweed has got more grunt and bass especially when dirty. I like the look of the Cremetone with the front controls and white knobs. Easier to see when it's behind me and the effects loop is a big plus. Both great. You can certainly hear the difference between the 2 different Celestion speakers. Always a big factor in sound. Just depends on your taste and the guitar and type of music you play.

Shane thanks so much for demoing these amps for us with such good quality reviews. You have a great on screen personality. I am really digging both of these amps. By the way, I know these loud demos must be killing your ears. You should try using the Earaser or Eargasm ear plugs. They have a small hole in the center that filters out some high frequencies but still allow you to hear good tone. I have some quality boutique amps from Tone King and others but have always liked the punchy bass tone of a blues jr NOS or IV with gain volume at 9 o’clock and MV at

Shane, awesome demo! You've made me a fan of these Artist amplifiers and I've learned that we have a USA distributor based in Ohio. To my knowledge, it's pre-order only and there is no location stateside to demo (especially with Covid-19). As you are also a fan of the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe and Twin and you already own at least one Tonemaster and the Tweedtone, what would you think about doing a shootout between the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe (100W modeling amp based on the 22W tube version) and compare it to the Artist Tweedtone 20 and/or the Artist Cremetone 20R? I currently own a Fender Tonemaster Deluxe and I am very interested in comparison between these 2 Artist amps in how they feel when playing in terms of punch and sag (squish). For example, the blues Jr is smaller and doesn't take pedals as well as my Tonemaster Deluxe, but in the room, the Blues Jr feels tighter and punchier with still a good squish feel. I suggest this comparison as those 2 Artist amps wattage wise are closer to the Fender Deluxe Reverb, am I correct?

Nice Vid Shane! I Love the Tweedtone but it sounded more Muddy than the Creamtone. The Creamtone I thought was more articulate. I’d love to put the V30 in the Tweedtone and hear what it sounds like. Great Review and Demo, please keep up the Good Work Mate! Cheers from the US. Oh...the Tweedtone has gone up in price here. Was US $375 now $450 w/Pedal.
@mattgilbert73472 жыл бұрын
Cremetone=smooth, compressed, sustain (I swear I'm hearing a Mesa/Santana thing with that amp) Tweed Tone=brighter, more open yet still punchy, scoopier but still slightly mid-forward, HRD-meets-Peavey Classic tones. Run em wet/dry with the TT as the wet amp. The Cremetone has fatter mids and would keep those wet FX coming from the Tweed Tone under control so that you don't get lost in the mix. I love wet-dry. You can run your wet FX really wet, and that dry amp keeps you right there in the mix. Ofc you could flip it and use the loop, TT as the dry amp, but I prefer going straight in the front.

Gday Shane. So like some others it would be interesting for to see the Tweed tone with a variety of speakers. Many thanks Garry in the UK.

They both sound great, but for me front panel controls make me lean towards the CremeTone a having an effects loop seals the deal. I've been seriously researching and shopping for an amp and have always loved Fenders and had pretty much decided on a 65 Reissue Deluxe. Never heard of Artist amps but given the sound, master volume, effects loop and major price difference I am reconsidering. I can't wait to find one to test fire. I've had the Tweedtone for awhile, and I put a Vintage 30 into it which didn't really float my boat. Perhaps because I was playing mainly single coils. Not sure if CremeTone is just a Tweedtone with a Vintage 30 and a few little changes? I've now decided I'm not a Vintage 30 guy (I had it in and out of my DSL 40 trying to get rid of the fizz in that), so back to the Seventy80 which amazingly seems to suit the Tweedtone for the bluesy type stuff especially on single coils. I find some days I love the sound, but others I find it frustrating when I can't get the sound I want and it's really thin to my ears. That's when I end up on youtube looking for something new. Hello!

Both sounds good, but the Tweed sounds more muffled when cranked, more like a cocked wah, the Creme sounded clearer! More balanced in the frequencies. Still liked both! HOW much does the clean ch on the Cremetone crunch up when you up the gain? No1 has done that on any YT demo so far!
@clintonmaher69304 жыл бұрын
Cremetone easily for me - clean seems a bit cleaner and better for pedals and the distortion is much punchier and tighter with good mid bite. Tweedtone distortion is too flabby and fizzy for me.
