The whole video had me feeling like I really was on an art date with a new friend I'm getting to know. As someone painfully shy and too awkward to approach anyone in real life (also, artists intimidate me a bit bc you guys make pretty art), I really enjoyed this video. Makes me want to draw and try digital (I've been trying half heartedly to improve my art over the past few weeks and recently bought the most basic tablet out there to try and learn digital art as well lol). Thank you for the inspiration!

I'm sitting here, painting an inktober while I watch this and thinking about my future art career. I am also 29 going on 30 in November and grappling with the fact that I didn't start this journey sooner. Everyone one instagram and youtube seem so much younger and it's hard not to think I should have taken my art more seriously when I was younger. So thank you for helping me feel that my path is "normal" and possible! :) Keep being you!

So glad you use Photoshop simply because it's hard to find artists here that use it - although, that could just be the reason why you'd choose to switch over. Just like you, I don't own an iPad and since I'm still learning drawing digitally I seek out artists that use PS and especially ones whose art I love (like yours!).

Loved this! So soothing and inspiring at the same time. Informative too. :) I was born and live in the UK. My degree (40 years ago!!!) was in Fashion & Textile Design but I've always preferred graphics/illustration/fine art. My favourite food is....potatoes, cooked any way. :)

I've had many people tell me that my art is "not good enough" when I was young, so I sort of gave up. But now (confidence comes with age 🙃😉) I enjoy it, I see that I can draw, and I keep learning. I really enjoyed watching your video so much! I've been starting digital drawing with photoshop, but it's quite difficult for me to draw what I imagine. I think I just don't know the techniques. And sometimes I loose my motivation. I think I'll try your cute coloringpage to get into drawing again :)

I know what you mean, it can be hard to translate your ideas to digital in the beginning! The best way I found to get better with digital art was to start simple and keep practising, adding new elements or trying new techniques regularly. You'll probably find lots of things that don't work but in the process you'll also find lots of things that do, so definitely stick with it 😊💕

I just discovered you and I was really inspired. I recently bought a tablet with a drawing pen (not an iPad nor a drawing tablet, just a normal Android tablet but it comes with a pen and you can do basic stuff), I've been experimenting a bit, but I become easily frustrated and end my sessions in 10-15 mins without much results. I'll download your prompt list and see if it my mind "clicks". P.S. I'm really happy you want to visit my country, I'm sure you'll love Florence and Rome, but I also recommend you check on other "less known" cities such as Bologna, Turin, and the small ancient towns in between the hills and mountains. The Alps are majestic and the town really pictoresque. But, if you can, visit my town in South Italy. It's called Matera and it has a really unique beauty. All the old houses are built in a beige stone and partially carved in the side of a hill. It's a little jewel and if you go there I can recommend some really good restaurants. Anyway, keep up with your good work. Thanks.

Hi Cosimo, thank you so much for all of the wonderful suggestions - Matera sounds stunning! Things are always frustrating when we're new to them, I recommend starting simple and building some confidence and I think you'll start to enjoy it more and hopefully become less frustrated! Drawing, like any skill, just takes practise 😊

Why I dont have procreate cant afford a ipad after buying a huion tablet XD also open canvas is a great option if you don't want to get stuck with photoshops monthly fee or voiding the outrageous cancelation fee
