@@roshansharma5049 You cannot edit the paper because it's written in pen, but in the app, you can edit it like selecting certain parts to erase, relocate, rewrite, etc. Of course, after editing it in the app, the stuff on paper and in the app won't match anymore.

I just discovered your channel and really love your reviews. They are very detailed but not one detail is meaningless. I really feel confident to make a choice based on your videos. I just wanted to encourage you to continue the great work you are doing. And about the product, I am very happy they developed the idea further because for me writing or drawing on screens is extremely distracting to my thought flow but I love the convenience of having digital copies of things, especially vectorized drawings. Also the replay function would be great for experimental animation. Thank you again for reviewing this product in such great detail!

If the paper moves just a tiny bit, it would not maintain accuracy. They should include a clamp system.

Picked up the slate as well, my reason behind that compared to the spark was the spark can only read through 50 pages and the slate can read through 80. If you're looking for the cover you can get the Folio or you can get a large generic cover which can hold it as well.

This is really neat! I would probably only use it for art related things actually. If I had the cash I'd definitely go for it, but my birthday is coming up soon! It's kind of a slight bummer it only works with the wacom pen, but actually that could be pretty interesting. If I were to do a sketch in pencil, and then do line work over it with the wacom pen, I'm sure that'd be pretty handy since the pencil marks won't show up after exporting! Maybe in the distant future, there will be a way for them to develop an ink brush type haha.. maybe that's too wishful thinking of me. Thanks for the review though!

Well, you can replace the refill with whatever brand you want as long as it is type D-1, and it should work fine for most. However, that limits you to only ballpoint style. You could still use an Ohto needlepoint refill, zebra gel pen refill, etc. Gives you a few options.

Hi Teoh. Great review. I watched your review of the spark as well. With regard to capturing light strokes, does the slate seem more accurate than the spark? Or do you think they are the same. Obviously you can't correct your lines by erasing them but my idea is to sketch with a pencil first (with the slate off), and then 'ink' my lines with the slate on. I need to produce line drawings for my job (scanning and removing the background in photoshop is a pain), and I can sketch better on paper than I can on a glass - and it would be nice to have a physical copy of my work as well. So this device might do the trick! Nigel

Very impressive; much better than I expected. Does the IOS/Android device have to be nearby while drawing? Glad to hear it takes a standardised refill, and regular paper. As for that pen, I had a similar problem once and used a thick elastic wound prevent it from turning, and to keep my hand from knocking it. Hopefully they'll introduce a lock of some kind. Moleskin has a similar-looking product, but I believe it uses a camera near the pen tip and dotted lines on the paper to track properly. I don't know much about it beyond that.
@teohyc
@teohyc 7 жыл бұрын
+John Matthias Bluetooth range is quite far so the iOS android device does not have to be near. Anyway, you don't have to sync immediately. You can store your pages inside Bamboo Slate and sync whenever you are available to do so. I'm not sure exactly how Moleskine's product work.
