I cant speak to how you view yourself amongst the greats of this game my friend, but let me tell you one thing, in my opinion... you are hands down the #1 Jury at Feng shui engine. I see top 48 EVO players and people placing in tournaments constantly waste level 2, or get hardly anything off it. Myself as a Jury player just barely in Master ranking, I have never even used the super... because I feel if I can't do it like you it aint worth using. So take that for what you will =), love your content always.

♥️ Dang I didn't expect this video to be so real. Thank you for being vulnerable. A lot of people, myself included, can relate in differing degrees with your current struggles. I may not be involved in content creation, but the 9-5 dread and wanting to find a way out is something I go through daily. Life is hard. Life is expensive. Life is unpredictable. I want to feel joy and provide a happy life for my future family. Sometimes Street Fighter and other video games feel like a way to escape the reality of always falling short. That's why excessive losing in Street Fighter can be extra tilting sometimes for me, because it feels as if it's just another way that I'm failing. Anyways thank you again, we love and support you!

Kali, you're the reason I learned FSE with Juri and it was your expertise and content that pushed me from Plat to Diamond. I will watch Mago, Uma, Nephew, and JAK for inspiration, but you are the Juri main I look towards for knowledge. Your contributions and wisdom have not gone unappreciated. Thank you and keep striving with your content!

Came here after having a very bad time learning USF4 in 2024. Typed in "how i deal with tilt in street fighter" and this is the result. Not only is this the first time I'm seeing your videos but this particular helps so much. Whether it's sf4 or 6 (i missed out on v), you helped me realized that not only is it not the end of the world when i get bodied.....but also to realize that one of the best ways to get good is taking a look at yourself first. Thanks alot, brother. Oh, almost forgot. Here's the heart. ❤

Appreciate you! Be kind yourself. Let yourself grow. Fighting games are hard! Seriously. We’re in the middle of the universe on a blue marble. Winning in usf4 is so unimportant but simultaneously very important. Gotta figure both of those out!
@kaito_v3x4 ай бұрын
🩵 I relate to this alot, for SF6 and Tekken I have no real reason for wanting to be high rank or a specific level, it's just a desire that I can't really explain. And when I'm on loosing streaks I sometimes think "maybe I'm not cut out for fighters, I should go back to art or rhythm games" even though I have the skills to be better than what I'm limiting myself too. It's pretty self destructive since I already suffer from mild confidence issues from sources other than my ability in videogames haha. But on the occasions that I can notice when I'm upset and not be stubborn and be on the grind you mentioned earlier, it helps alot. And hearing people good at the games I wanna be good at, talk about their tilt and struggles is reassuring in a weird way. I appreciate this video alot ^^

❤️It’s funny this video popped up on my feed. I remember a little bit ago I got Akuma to master and I started at 1500MR and kept plummeting which made me feel like I didn’t deserve to be a master rank player. I tried to power through the tilt instead of taking a break but I dropped to 1200MR. Thank you for making this video and being a pillar in the community, it reminded me that my tilt and negative emotions come from wanting to be on par with content creators, pro players and the like. Take care man, it’ll all work out.

♥SF6 is the first SF game I actually started to play more seriously. Pervious SF games were very hard for me to play as I am really bad at the motion inputs for many of the characters for their specials. Thanks to SF6 introducing the modern controls it honestly made it less intimidating for me to pick up and learn the game. I am still using the Modern control scheme when I play ranked with Juri, however I am practicing with classic controls in training mode and doing the combo trials. I still struggle a lot with the classic inputs, however I do think I am slowly getting better at it, but I am not confident that I could play well in ranked just yet and will continue to practice. I'm 33 and will be 34 in a couple months, I'm definitely not young buck anymore but with that said my dream is to be able to play competitively someday regardless of my age. It will be a long journey but it is one I want to take on, but at times I tilt in the game just like anybody else. I am at the cusp of reaching Gold in ranked on modern controls but I am hoping that I can transition to classic controls in time. That being said, classic controls are still really intimidating to me, I often feel dejected with not being able to do proper combos etc. And when I look at pros who make it look easy it makes me lose confidence in myself to be able to reach that level someday. Kail I would like to say thank you for the videos you put out. It has helped me a lot with learning Juri as a whole as she is my favorite character since her first introduction in SF4. To me your videos are very informative and helpful and helped to be more patient with myself as a player. I was in your stream the other day, and was still learning by observing your gameplay. I will continue on my journey to grow and maybe eventually get that level. I wish you and everyone else well who might be reading this. Take care and remember to never back down. Stay safe out there!

Dude , dk if you’ll see this message but I needed this message . I play somewhat often (almost every night ) somewhat casually, but I have wanted to compete . And I have been trying to NOT tilt , as I am a pretty chill person . But Street Fighter 6 and a combination of other life events make it harder to keep my cool . What I’ll say is , man I appreciate you coming out and sharing your story… it feels good to hear about someone else’s experience . I’m an illustrator/comic artist/writer and I just did a Con (blerdcon) the other day with my Manon and won 3rd place … it made me think to myself, “damn I’m not as bad as those times, I got tilted and got in my own head” . I just wanna say we’re bigger than who we say we are when we’re tilted . When I’m not playing, I’m an illustrator , and I need to remember that . I need to remember I’m playing for fun. Hopefully one day I could be good enough to compete more frequently. Don’t remember where I was going with this message here but just wanted to say I appreciate this ❤❤ . Thank you

Important video, brother. What you are saying here trancends Street Fighter, or even Fighting Games, hell, games in general. I shared this with someone who i struggled a bit making a point with. Who said he isnt doing well with things, without ever really talking about himself. He shares facts or happenings, expecting me to know whats going on. When its important to get to the base of why do you think you are feeling bad. Or even allow you to 'feel' it in the first place. Cause if you dont, that process gets a whole lot harder. Cause suddenly when things come crushing down, you end up having to play some weird kind of feels detective for yourself. And sadly, some people never even get there and end up thinking things 'happening to' them is all that ever happens.

I just reached Master rank with Juri. 1500 MR, and that’s good enough for me. I purchased SF6 at launch, and that was my goal with her. My ranked Juri is now retired. Now, I will only play her in casual. It would be nice to get some other characters to high Diamond, but it’s not a goal. I’m good. If it happens, it happens. If not, eh…. I can now enjoy the game. Stress is off. Your vids and Juri training helped. Thanks, dude.💜

Well man, I once had the pleasure to find your Chun Li in battle hub. I could tell you I once wished to be "good" in this game and help others too. I'm an old man too with a big beard and some white hair. Doing what one adores is essential in order to be happy. No one can really affect your choices and your emotions. It is only ourselves. I encourage you to meditate more, yes, and listen to that inner voice always pointing to the right direction. Take care man. Keep helping others if you love that and give a f* for anyone's expectation except for your own.

Kail, you’re an inspiration and should be an inspiration in the FGC as a whole. Way back in the sf4 days, you had a voice especially among us Juri players. I’m sure you will be THE VOICE in whatever you go into next. I think we’ve only ever had one set in sf4. But back then I used to be in my head. “Ima better juri player than this guy.” And probably was. Probably wasn’t. But that competitive spirit always held you to a high standard cuz you put your voice out there for this character. But I’ve been subscribed for a long ass time and I’ve watched the struggle. Felt it too. You could easily grow into something more, I pray and hope you do Kailkun.

It’s funny you uploaded this today Kail cause I just watched that old Sajam video about adaptation, and in it he says something along the lines of “If you’re not popping off for yourself, you’re playing fighting games wrong.” And I think that resonates with your point about needing to support ourselves. I tend to be my own worst critic, some days it feels like I can’t do anything right, and I’ll sometimes go through periods of shutting others out because I feel performance anxiety just from being around people. It’s definitely something I’ve gotten better at managing with age but sometimes you can’t help being in your own head. My biggest weakness in fighting games stems from these feelings, I feel this intense pressure to do well as if I need to validate myself as a player to even be worthy of playing at all. My ego clouds my judgement and puts me on edge so in turn, I tend to lose my composure in neutral and lash out wildly trying to escape pressure. Catching and mitigating these feelings mid-match is an exhausting effort, but keeping focus on the little improvements has helped me keep myself on track. I still suck at defense though lol And Kail, you’re doing god’s work bro. Hope your mom stays safe and healthy for as long as possible my man ❤

❤ It's important to remember when pursing whatever goals you have, that games like SF6 are both hard and in a certain sense, they don't ever get easier either. You get better, your rank goes up and then - you face better opponents. The level of play keeps going up sure, but at no point will it get easier to go even higher up.

Gracias 🫂

If more people could be so honest with themselves and just reflect we would all be better off. To any one suffering from tilt I can safely say that you shouldn't feel bad and you should just have a self-talk with yourself every so often. Check in and remind yourself that you need to be in the mindset of growth and learning. Remember you are not entitled to wins just because of some numbers on the screen, nor are you automatically going to lose just because someone is higher rank than you. Hell, if you have a strong mental you can beat someone legitimately better than you in the moment. It's just 4 rounds. I have been going to tournaments for like 15 years and it is EASILY less anxiety and irritation-inducing to play in real tournaments and in offline casuals. Something about not seeing the other player and being reminded they are a real person who can and will outplay you sometimes and is deserving of respect makes playing online feel so much worse.

This garbage is just designed to be explosive + fast rounds, so their precious "esports" can fill up as much ads as possible in between short matches. Great for them, terrible for the average player.

My Tilt comes from reaching a point of confusion. When someone or some code has perfect reads on everything I just stop playing and stand in the middle of the stage. The reason why I stop playing is because I just wanna see how far this other persons BS will continue .I'll block and move round but my goal is to watch the player from that point. This often leads to me winning the rematch or just not wasting tine on a Skynet bot with a mental stack of 1 million. You dont have to be happy about getting your ass kicked. I tend to beat 3 star Plats but I lose to 4 star Bronze. Capcom fixed the ranking system so smurfs have now run to New Challenger modes . I'm a huge fan of Nephew but it's Kail that I'm learning from. That means something! Any gamer getting tilted know what your tilt is and make peace with it. Embrace your Dark Hado.Dont run from it.
