Hello, so the mugs would normally sit on the top of the coffee machine to pre heat. The mug saucers would be in a stack on the bench where the barista has finished pouring. The food plates are in the kitchen near the food pass. 👍🏻

Great video very helpful taken alot of info out of it got me thinking I reckon you could improve on the design as well move the display in the corner as customers come in they see the food straight away and the display is angled in the corner, put the coffee machine where the display is and switch the pick up and order taking around put the kitchen sink at the end like you said sandwich press where coffee machine is and you just gained all of the bench space from the corner to the sink which you could display coffee or other product or work space, and get the employee getting food take the coffee orders so then there is no crossing over or if the coffee person does take orders they will only cross over when taking orders and dropping food off loved how you got me thinking about this thanks :) this is about the second design.

Firstly, welcome to the start of your coffee journey. i would suggest a formal training program if your looking to one day own a cafe. this is a foundation that will help you run the business, deal with customers and manage staff. Form there a specific barista course would help you get the basics. If you can get a hole espresso machine it will help you practise then try and get a job in the industry. Watch a lot of KZbin, you will fond a lot of content here to help you progress. Good Luck 👍
