@@mandyoliver3398 hmmm... I'm not sure because I don't know what you are doing. Are you using a bias tape maker tool or just ironing? What is going wrong? I need more info please!

@@ArtistTaraReed I purchased the bias maker you used. I cut my fabric in various sizes, 1”, 1.25” 1.5” & 2” and at each piece was bunching up. The one time it did work, it was only 4” and then the fabric wasn’t aligning into the proper half of fabric on the sides. Help!

A perfect project they can show off as they walk their dogs! I used a basic Guttermann thread from Joann Fabric. Have fun!

If I wanted to make this and make it adjustable. I know I can purchase the adjustable piece to match the swivel but would I have to add more length to it?

I haven’t made any adjustable but I would say you at least need to account for the length that would be used looping through the adjustable piece. Then make sure it will be a comfortable length for the tallest person who would use it and the distance you want the dog to be able to wander. I’d look up lengths that are offered to purchase for an idea of what to try. Have fun!

I’m really new at this. Does sewing the strapping need a special needle, or any different settings?

I used a universal needle, so nothing special. But it is a good idea to change your needles more that you’d think, especially when working with thicker materials so they are nice and sharp!
