I'm really excited, as I've loved drawing and painting basically all my life. But ended up in finance, not the creative industry. However, I get asked even by colleagues why I'm not working as an artist. So I've enrolled myself in an in-person weekly 3-hour art class, starting in September. While I like using youtube and such as resources, I truly hope having structured guidance by an established artist helps me develop more. :)

Jess I just had to come back to thank you again. I plunged right into some of those websites and Line of Action has helped me so much. I never learned to draw figures, so I had no clue where to start. Now I understand what all those lines you put on your paper are all about. And understating “line of action” makes such a difference and applying the angles and head -rib cage - hips, is so helpful. Now I think I can get this. I will keep working at it. It would be nice to sit in an airport or a cafe and just draw people in the surroundings. I’m so excited.

One of the best classes I had in school was art history with respect to the evolution of how an artist's time period and culture affected their style and art and how artists influenced their societies - it was a wonderful creative resource. (I was fortunate to have an instructor who provided a lot of the background surrounding the creation of art.)
