Beautiful work. I love the variety! So inspiring. Hard to pick a favorite page, but I do love the studio painting at the beginning, the figure and face drawings were fun and the fruit in a white basket plus the collage pages at the end were pretty awesome, too. Just wonderful.

I have a black pug, and they, along with frenchies, melt my heart. I want a Frenchie sibling for my chubby little guy. Beautiful art work as always! You have such a calm, relaxing and very comforting voice and demeanor. I strive for that, lately more than ever my mental health/wellness, stress, anxiety and nerves have been through the roof high. The thing I hate about these sketchbook tours is I wind up spending all my time watching, pausing the video to make a screenshot to get ideas that I wind up storing and never using because I'm stuck watching and not working to teach this stuff to myself! Jess, you are a step way above the rest. I absolutely love your work and am in awe of how you use color and how you throw the colors off like in the animal study that you turned into stickers. I have a Husky and the dog picture (that could be a Shiba Inu or some other dog like that) in that series has such a cool color palate. Your work is so fun and it's so hard to set the phone down to pick up my sketchbook. I need to learn that I can just tape or glue different paper into my book instead of switching sketchbooks every time I have a different medium I'm doing 🤔. I think this is the 4th time or more I have watched this video. The 100 eyes challenge was awesome, I especially love the rainbow eyes with the limited color palate for each one. You teach me so much but I need to get past my fear of the paintbrush (a totally foreign tool in my belt so to speak). I have swatched some gouache before and I absolutely love how smooth and opaque it is. Watercolor freaks me out big-time. I have to remember my sketchbook is not a grenade that will detonate with the touch of a brush or watercolor paints. So far it's pencil and colored pencil and a lot of pen because I have been working through Danny Gregory's book "How To Draw Without Talent". Yeah. I'm as green as they come.

Hullo Jess, I just wanted to say. . . WoW! I have seen well put together sketchbook tours but this book is so polished that I gotta say it hardly feels like a sketchbook! Even your experiments are so well done! I love that you did not get so excited that you forgot to prepare your book for oil painting! Gesso is a wonderful preparation for so many surfaces. You might try watercolor ground, it does a very good job in sketchbooks Helping with watercolors and markers from leaking through to the back or other side, even when the paper might not be as good as we might like. Liz Chaderton has a KZbin channel and I have used her recipe for watercolor ground several times and found it to be one of the best! Because watercolor ground bought in a little bottles is very expensive and you can use gesso and modeling paste and get the same effect and save A LOT of money! Good luck and thanks for sharing your amazing artwork with us.

You are so organized, love that. I wish my sketchbook would look so nice like yours. I tend to use my journals as drawings and planning for future projects. Usually really rough, fast studies to get the ideas down and then I work on the project and put my efforts with the project. I am going to try to be more deliberate from now on and make my journals more focused like you have yours. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talents. OMGG! I Love how Creative and Inspiring all of your Artwork is. I love that you use all different colors and brights as well as monochromatics. I love the creative flow is most of your art pages in your art journals. I feel inspired to make a journal of my own. I have always wanted to, but sadly have not given myself the time to do it. I start a few of them and then feel overwhelmed to finish them because there are so many pages to fill and I sometimes feel my imagination isn't exactly up for the challenge.[ Realistically though... I sometimes think that if I really try, I might like it so much. that I will get lost in the art and creativity of it all and never take a break from it] I find I have so much creativity locked up deep inside of myself that I want to do it all at the same time and find that since I don't have 20 Syrena Clones to helpme get it all done, I end up just putting only half the effort into it. I paint in Watercolors and Acrylics and I love Colored pencils/ Inks/ Markers/ Gel pens/ and the list goes on as well as I do Card readings and am a Reiki Master/ Teacher / Poet/ Writer...and I also Love to bead and make statement necklaces. There just aren't enough me's to spread around and do them all at the same time/ therein lies my biggest challenge and also my defeat. I just love too many things all at once and need to find a way back into my creative zone. Life tends to get super crowded and complicated whenever I actually try to make the time for my art. But watching you and other artists create art is very enjoyable to me, and helps spark my creative juices. Thanks so much for sharing of yourself here with all of us to admire and learn from.
