I have so much respect for 3d artists it takes so much time and you can't predict beforehand how your actions now will pan out, so when you see something really good you know that person has put a lot of hours in his/her craft.
@maxgrey36944 жыл бұрын
The not knowing how something will turn out can be the hardest part. I'm on vacation and have nothing else to do so I'm trying to make a complex render every single day, and the stress of all the hours pushing ahead even when the scene looks terrible in its crude early state is incredible. But somehow it always comes together in the end, even if it's not what I expected or as polished as I would have liked. But the stress is always there for like half the process, sometimes a whole lot more
@henrymasih64003 жыл бұрын
@@maxgrey3694 bro I'm just getting into 3D art because i love art in general. When even it's agony during the making process,how are u still in love with it? I have mostly done 2D and enjoy it but 3D new to me. So wanna know ur thought on it
@maxgrey36943 жыл бұрын
@@henrymasih6400 To be totally honest, there are plenty of times when I absolutely hate it. But I also have a habit of constantly trying to learn new styles (often with no tutorial) so I'm regularly putting myself in positions where idk wtf I'm doing so it's kinda stressful. But a lot of the time the results still look great after all the work so it's worth it. If you're just getting into it as a hobby and want the process to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible I'd recommend trying to dial in a specific style so you don't constantly feel lost technically and creatively. Once you're comfortable with a style you can branch out from there and gradually expand your skillset one part at a time. But if you're still to early in the process to have a style I'd recommend you start by learning a simple style from another artist to get you comfortable with the fundamentals of the software so you can build up from there. The goal is to learn enough that you can experiment on your own and have fun because you aren't completely lost and actually have a chance of getting a cool render. Once you can do that you just build up from there and learn more about the program and what style(s) you'd like to work in. I'd also recommend you do projects where you focus on a specific new skill rather than learning everything at once. If you know how to make everything else except that one element you know as soon as you get that breakthrough you can make it look good, which is a lot more motivating than having a big complex project with lots of things you don't know how to make yet. If I'd followed the advice I just gave you my journey would have been a whole lot easier, so I hope this will be helpful!
