Sorry, it takes two hands to pull those "wings" outward and I laid it down to get it stabke enough to open and slip the phone out (or in). It might be possible with one hand but it'd be much harder and unlikely to happen, maybe even break something trying.

Thank you. The center bar is what you are speaking about? It should slide so that it isn't long enough to interfere with the tripod legs.

Thank you David. Can you be more specific? Box, carrying/storage bag, a charging cable the User Manual and the selfie stick Tripod Gimbal is all I believe are included. I even checked customer images on Amazon and confirmed that is all those people received as well. Is it possible the small button portion that is Bluetooth was loose in the box? Check 1:16 in the video for a close look at this part I am referring to.

I just got mine today. Never took a selfie yet but want to make a video for my mom. I have a iphone case covered in crystals. Is it likely to unglue the crystals once I attach the phone to the holder?

It might but if you are very careful and don't slide it around and such and only allow it to press directly you might be fine. Good luck with making your mother a video. I use this (& others I have like it) so little sadly but keep hoping to have a reason to use them more since they really improve things. (Nowhere to go, nothing to shoot since I use a different camera for making videos).

This ARTOFUL is a "middle way" for home use, seems like a good start. Do you know how long the ARTOFUL battery lasts (not the remote control)? can be a problem on a vacation trip. Saludos Dani

At this price point, it is a great choice for a first time user of a gimbal. As for the battery, they state 2 hours of continuous use, but some phones are very heavy while some a lightweight and I am sure that affects things a great deal. I did read a review saying they only got 20-30 minutes of use, while others say it works well for them. Probably best to have a power bank handy while on vacation (if possible).

I believe that it is a configuration issue not the need for an app if I recall correctly but I cannot check it out currently. It might even be mentioned in the user manual so I'd suggest checking there and maybe once I get a chance I'll see if I can check into it assuming I remember once I am again able.

I am not certain what you mean by "better" so I am trying to answer all questions I think you might be trying to ask. If you are asking how to change the battery for the gimbal portion, the best I can tell you don't. If you are asking how to change the battery for the small Bluetooth remote, it pops open and you put in a new coin cell style battery. (I don't recall the model but probably a CR2032 or a CR2025 as those are the most common). This is not a rechargeable battery. If you are asking how to charge the battery (for the gimbal), plug it into a USB port.

You just turn on the Bluetooth on your phone and then on the gimbal wait a few seconds for it to show up then click it to pair like any other Bluetooth device.

I don't know why it won't work with your iPhone, Bluetooth is pretty universally compatible. I have taken a look at a lighted gimbal as well. I suppose cheaper products are made cheaper or have fewer options and abilities but without knowing exactly what model to compare to another it'd be difficult to know exactly what differences there are.

The Note 9 is listed as weighing 7.1oz and the case looks like it is listed as weighing 5.3oz so 12.4oz total. There was someone that mentioned using a GoPro that worked but after a short period of time created issues. There was a review that said it worked fine for a few hours with a GoPro 7 then began to fail and some spoke about issues with heavier phones in tripod mode not being very stable but that's about the best answers I can offer. If you turn it off between uses and have a lightweight phone it'll last longer but typically it should last for around 2 hours. If you don't turn it on and only use it as a tripod or selfie stick then the battery is not in use obviously and thus used in those capacities, not an issue.

It pairs like any other Bluetooth device and includes instructions on how to do it, at least it should. The gimbal portion works on its own, the button portion however you pair with your phone. The button operates like this, press and hold the button to turn it on, press and long hold the button to enter into pairing mode, press and hold to turn off. As with most Bluetooth devices allow it to flash a few times in pairing mode then from there just open Bluetooth on your phone and click to pair.

If it's off and you press and hold and it turns on (not flashing for pairing mode) good it has power but when off pressing and holding longer should get to pairing mode. If not it makes me wonder if the BT isn't working properly which might require returning it. I'd try another device and double check if you can get into pairing mode.

Unless I am confusing them... this one does rotate the phone as I demo in the video. I think you misunderstood the 360-degree abilities of this unit in this video. Yes, it can spin 360 degrees but the button is the button that you long press to turn on. single and double pressing that same button and using the dial are the adjustment options (outlined in more detail in the user manual). The remote button on the handle is only a Bluetooth remote to take photos, not rotate the phone.
