I wanted to thank Tastosis for the last 12 years. I was literally a lost post-college grad in 2010 trying to find my way in life and would decompress by watching you guys cast the game I love in SC2. Through years of hard work, I finally finished my formal training and am an attending doctor now. You guys were literally the bros I wish I had where I could geek out watching other nerds crush lesser nerds in the virtual world. GL to Artosis and his family, honestly don't care for his streams, even one bit, but I absolutely love Tastosis and StarCraft, BW as well as SC2.

Artosis has a very particular streaming personality which some people enjoy and others definitely do not (I'd say he's like Asmongold in this way). I'm not a huge fan of his stream either, it's just not for me as its evidently not for you, but I get that he's playing a character on stream and it doesn't say much about his casting and analysis content, even solo like on his youtube channel.

2:20 - the difference in the online casting I see - the head turns and eye contact between you. If the internet connections allow, I suggest each of you add to your side a camera + screen (or phone) to turn to when talking to each other. Also consider using a teleprompter because you can use it for eye contact conversation.

I hate growing older so so much! I cherish all of the memories that StarCraft has brought me personally so god damn much! Personally, I wouldn't even watch if Tastosis weren't casting it. The style you're both are doing with ASL is fine for me. On a side note: I suffer from crippling anxiety and my fiance knows that during an attack the only way to get me into a safe place and calm down is to have GSL playing so I can hear my favorite voices ever, Artosis and Tasteless. I'm not even kidding. StarCraft helps me escape the anxieties and pressures of the world and it's my safe place. That's why I used to grind games all the time because it took all of my thoughts and anxieties away and were put into this beautiful game. I'm older now and don't have the time to play but I will always watch and support the greatest game in the world. StarCraft.

Long time fan here, (been watching since SC1 on GOM TV) and I live pretty close to PEI. It's kind of cool that Artosis will be living nearby. It's a pretty quiet part of the world. It's sad that Artosis won't be in Korea full-time anymore, but sometimes it's time to make a change. It really highlights the importance of appreciating the good things we have in the present. Hey, thanks for making this video. I've been struggling with mental health issues my entire life but these last 5 or so years Tastosis casts have been one of the few things that help me stay in a decent head space on the not-so-great days and those have pretty much been my baseline for a couple years now. Starcraft 2 e-sports came into my life during a *REALLY* bad separation and has sort of served as an anchor point, so to speak. I can't put my finger on exactly why, I just know that you guys' casts are important to me and it's a relief to know that they'll (likely) continue (at least in some form) even once Artosis has left Korea. I like other casters, but there's something about the genuine friendship you two have and your mix of relaxed humor, expert casting, and deep knowledge which put me at ease and entertain me at the same time... That's rare. Relaxing is... difficult. Anyways, if you ever see this, just know that your work means a lot to at least one person, and that words can't express my gratitude for you & Artosis's dedication to mastering your craft and putting on the best show you can. I wish you all the best.

It is always so palpable the difference between Tastosis and any other combination of casting with these two guys with others. It's still a good cast (like when State fills in or past big events with the other English castors like Rotty) but there is such a different level of comfort when it's the one and only tastosis. For those Americans it was a lot like Pat Summerall and John Maddon.

I'll miss what we're used too but my support for starcraft and gsl will not change at all. Edit - I would be really surprised if people would rather have zero gsl than a gsl without tastosis... I'd rather you stay, but it would be a super shame if we lost English gsl because he moved. I assume they'd just get two other people if you don't wanna stay, but I do not think it's true that people would rather have nothing if it's not the both of you.

I think there are more people watching GSL English cast because of the players and the game itself than those who watch it because its Tastosis casting it. So I believe that even without Tastosis, the GSL English cast will move on with new people. Who knows, given the season are being staggered between GSL and ESL (assuming they also continue into next year), we might have ESL caster coming to KR to do casting for GSL as well. I personally do not mind at all seeing Rotti, ZG, PiG and others to cast GSL.

Prince Edward Island is a great place to live. Its kind of a quiet part of Canada, and more affordable to live in than others places with a small population (but still close to some major hubs) and it is BEAUTIFUL. One thing though, It's actually on the south eastern part of Canada, not north. That would be something like Iqaluit on Baffin Island, probably arty doesn't want to move there lol.

I would think the largest difference raising kids in Seoul vs PEI would be pace of life. Big cities probably have a lot of chaos, peer pressure, etc, but they also offer a lot of benefits as well. A lot of extracurricular activities, growing up bilingual, public transportation.

What makes me worry somewhat is what Tasteless will do if, inevitably, GSL will end. Stormgate will most likely not be viable for esports, let's be honest. Artosis makes 6 figures a year with his Twitch stream (Twitch earnings leaks + guestimate of donos) and will be able to sustain this career path for at least the foreseeable future but even that seems to hinge completely on his viewership and community that carries him. I'm fairly certain Tasteless' streams are nowhere near as profitable, but I could be wrong. Ugh, time flies..

Each GSL season lasts months. There's zero chance he will fly out and either A. Stay there for months, or B. Fly back and forth multiple times a week. An ASL-equivalent is the only possibly way forward for them to cast GSL.

Honestly very happy for Arty that he can move to a place that's better for his family. I wish I could do that myself with the current political climate where I'm from. Having said that, I'd be lying if I said I won't be sad with the possibilities surrounding the Korean SC2 casting scene. I got back into watching SC2 esports during Serral's meteoric rise back in 2018 and I'd watch a lot of the foreign tournaments despite the timezone difference. But since 2019, I've gravitated towards watching GSL instead. The friendlier timezone, more competitive scene (at least for me), and probably most importantly the consistent casting from Tastosis. I'm happy you guys would still be doing it ASL style but the live broadcasts just feel different and definitely something I'll miss.

Hope all goes well with Arty and the move! Glad to hear you guys will continue casting together. I was fortunate enough to meet you and Dan in Korea when I came over for ASL with Legionnaire, and it was an experience I'll never forgot. Long live Tastosis! :D

He made a good choice. The South Korean education system is extremely harsh and competitive. The intensity is ridiculous....like their grade 9 kids are pretty much already learning our Grade 11-12 level math. Raising a kid there is expensive as hell. Canada is a great choice. I hope to see you two still cast stuff in the future though! :)
