Haven't seen all games yet, but I really enjoy the grindy econ style zerg. Part of the reason I like it is because I can't ever see myself doing muta micro, but also because I enjoy the zerg econ tension of larva, hatcheries, map pressure.

I've been thinking for a few years now - since we were all petering-out of the hydra-bust times... that you getting the first cannon when you've made 7-8 zealots isn't good, either 1) get gas & get +1/legs earlier, then get a cannon or two down. Or just get the two cannons & go out with those zealots, no matter what. Because hitting a smaller zerg army even if you're trading is going to fit better. You are later kind of forced to defend with those same zealots, but 7 zealots versus 6 hydras + 6-8 lings is going to be much better than 10 zealots versus 10 hydras & 14 lings. *7 versus 6+6 or 10 versus 10+14*.

Is there any reason why Terran players don't build a bunker to counter Muta harrassment? The bunker HP is better than Turrets and Marines inside can scale (and can be removed if not needed). I know it cost a bit more, but if Terran mainly build Marines+Medic... Wouldn't be a good way to counter Muta? I'm just a casual player. Thanks!

Hi Artosis! Love your videos! I recently got into watching pro matches via your channel. To a noob like me, a lot of the builds seem quite similar and sometimes predictable. Of course, there are a lot of nuances that I don’t understand. I’d love to see how the meta has evolved over the past decades. To me, it seems that the meta should become stale after so long without updates. Would it be possible to cast a game from 2010, for example, with a fresh eye and compare the strats? Or if anyone can share a link to some older casted games for comparison. Cheers! Keep up the great work!

Artosis. Sorry I haven't left a comment in a few days hastling you to give my dog Dirk Nibbler a birthday shout out. 3 days ago he took a bad fall down some stairs and the outlook isn't good. I've finally gotten to the vets for an emergency visit and am in the waiting room now. Given his age it's not looking great but my family and I are hoping for the the best. Thanks for the sc match. EDIT* Hes going to pull through. Hes got a slipped disc so hes going to need to take it easy but other than that hes going to be fine. Vet gave him some muscle relaxers, steroids and a little doggy pain killer. Hes currently in lala land.

First game hawk against gypsy. Why hawk didn't destroy everything on the base... He killed all except 1 tower, and just flew away. Marines didn't come for 5-10 seconds. He could kill last tower and stick to the bottom corner.

Hawk vs Gypsy looks like the B team that is trying to scramble a strategy and figuring out what to do next besides the very poor control of units from both sides and especially Gypsy placing marines and medics near cliffs letting them to be killed when the opponent has mutalisks. I thought that Gypsy is better considering the trash talk but he is just average in terms of skill.

No Artosis, StarCraft is more like chess than poker. The entire concept of chess is chivalrous fighting so to speak; honourable fighting if you will. You & your opponent start on equal ground, (a fair fight) so to speak & then you both proceed bound by the same rules (code of honour). To many & altruistically it is important to combat this way to determine whom is the better. Now In the case of poker this is not so; in poker you do not start on equal ground as your wealth or ability to fund your venture is at utmost importance.

Your poker analogies are always incorrect. Very strange correlative suggestive thinking from someone who clearly does not understand professional poker. RTS players, particularly StarCraft players go on to play Texas Hold 'em poker because of several factors, non of which you've spoken too. Usually it's because people who are highly skilled at StarCraft are so because they understand the concept of GTO (Game Theory Optimal) & posses a skill set to find and understand the data to become a professional poker player. That coupled with the fact that those individuals usually have a wide networks of people willing to help them & in poker finding a coach or mentor is important which is already a function most professional RTS players are used to. Mathematics & patience are also skills that StarCraft players on a professional level posses that transfer over to poker very well. Being able to think critically under the spot-light and stay clear in mind and calm is another skill-set that crosses over from professional RTS to Poker. I could go on but I hope you get the point now that the reasons people move over to poker from StarCraft are not because of these niche arbitrary reason you keep ignorantly projecting.
