Actually, starting the goon is one macro cycle. Therefore after 32 seconds, you start the next one. That is after around 30 seconds and completes two macro cycles. A macro cycle is where you select your buildings and queue units. I can tell you don't play.

It's funny that artosis doesn't know how a macro cycle works. It's just selecting buildings and making your unit selections. When you do your first macro cycle on a dragon.. you start making said goon. When you come back after it completes you start the next unit. That is 32 seconds later and completes the second macro cycle. 😂😂😂😂

OP logic is this: 1) 14 CC vs. almost no pressure cuz toss are greedy (minor T advantage) 2) 5 fact push because toss reads it wrong and double expands (all in win) We do see alot of terran all ins following successful 14 cc's because of mindgames - "oh he ecos? i neeed to eco harder to not fall behind" -> pulls triggers Very few times terrans secure fast 3rd and plays macro after 14 CC. The reason is probably because terrans want to use the window of opportunity instead of trying to get ahead going for a prolonged game.

I don’t know guys, I think he has a point. It reminds me of a strategy I came up with in auto racing. Cars with less fuel go faster than cars with more fuel. If you just put very little fuel in your car you can get the lead right when the race starts. So far, no one has won a full race with this strategy, but they can take the lead at the beginning so it’s a viable strategy.

Macro cycles are real. Dunno what you're on about. It takes 33 seconds to do the two macro cycles he is referring to to build a dragoon. One m. cycle starts a goon, when it's done at 32 seconds you start the second one... Two macro cycles complete. Macro means to select your buildings and queue shit to build. What's hilarious to me is even if we take this guy at face value that you RNG-scout the zealot on the way over, you pull 5 SCVs, buy a marine, and ward it off. OK. What about the command geyser trick to stack SCVs to kill a zealot? You'll still lose whatever value you get from CC first, but not enough to auto-lose. I DO NOT play BW. I just watch a lot. But, my only argument for cc first TvP would be to use it early in a Bo5 or Bo7 series to try to encourage your opponent to play a more aggressive opening game in subsequent games, that you can prepare for in a way that gives you an advantage. It’s like showing a red flag to a bull but hiding your sword for the next game. But then again, barracks in to cc would be the equivalent of just not going into the arena with the bull. Safer.
