What I love about your creations is that you use everything. Forging, grinding, engraving, casting, etching, woodworking, etc. And there are very few people on youtube that take so much care in detail as you do. You are on the level of Man at Arms (AWE me), really. Congratulations!

@Arts-and-Crafts10 ай бұрын
I haven't tried it yet, but maybe it's not suitable!
@kunzilla10 ай бұрын
@@Arts-and-Craftswell the reason for using bamboo is that it's already got a curve so that you don't have to carve out anything. just combine two pieces together. and usually, the same length in bamboo is lighter than solid wood.

@profepik752510 ай бұрын
@@Arts-and-Crafts Thanks for the answer, from what I see I expected this weight, it looks rather thick. The usual weight for a saber is just over 1 kg... Yours is too heavy for fencing. Yes you are talented and this work is beautiful, next time if you make it practical with a correct weight and a thinner handle -- I mean not smaller but less round, so that you can easily feel in your hand where is the edge of the blade-- it will be perfect.
@Arts-and-Crafts10 ай бұрын
@@profepik7525 Yes ! Thank you very much for your comments, I know it's quite heavy to hold, but if it was crudely made and not heavily artistic in bronze casting, I think its weight would be light!

*IMPRESSIVE...The Lost Wax casting & Engraving work is simply next level...You don't get to see this level of work publicly much. This is Museum Level Work....These Skill Sets used to be DEEPLY Protected by Guilds...This Guy is basically working out of a hole in the ground, with equipment that I guarantee is older than he is, (rusty anvil, early 20th century trip hammer and all) with material that he basically picked up off the ground somewhere. And yet His work and results are as good or better than 97% of the Maker's posting blade videos on the Site...(and He's not making a 4 inch whittling knife here)..This Channel and Maker's like Him...Exposing the clown & pretentious fraud, that is Alec Steele, (History Channel garbage and the rest of the Clown Patrol) one video at a time* 🔥👍

Thank you, although I don't know the channel you mentioned, I think true art comes from constant effort and practice. I don't have enough modern equipment and conditions. works best, because it's quite expensive for me, but I always try to bring the best value to the viewer...

@@Arts-and-Crafts *I've been a knife/blade maker since the mid 1980's. I've probably personally made somewhere around 10,000 blades in all that time, including more than a few swords...I know more than most the kind of work that goes into making them.. I have knives on nearly every continent on the Planet. I was deeply involved in the US commercial knife industry. Much respect for this level of work and doing it with the equipment and material you have on hand, just makes the results that much more impressive & satisfying. Best of luck to you & yours*
