Arturia Keylab Essential 49 demo, with Stage 73 Fender Rhodes patches.

I am super happy with the Rhodes electric piano sounds from Arturia! Here is a demo of some of the patches available from Arturia which are some of the best, affordable sounds I have found. And I am loving this little 49-key keyboard I got for $200 too!
The keyboard came with free Mini Moog patch too which I will demo in another video!

I just noticed that Arturia are including their electric piano plugin with the Keylab Essential up to 31 12 2021, so that's roughly the same price as the actual keyboard :). And their minimoog is also included..... Great video.

It looks like you have no latency delay between pressing a key and hearing the sound. I have the Mk II and use Analog V plugged into a medium power laptop. Some patches play with less latency but it is still noticeable. Do you mind listing your setup? Thank you. Great chords BTW.

Hi! I run the plug-ins in ProTools via USB thru a Focusrite 18i20 and turn the buffer size down to 128k which really brings down the latency.

Hi, thank you for your cool video. I have exactly the same keyboard, the Keylab Essential 49 keys. I have never been able to have sensitive keys with that keyboard. I thought it was only velocity responsive, and not sensitive. Can you explain me if the keyboard comes natively sensitive ? Many thanks again for your help.

Hi! I too have some issues with the newer 69 key model and velocity. The higher keys get more velocity on only some patches. I haven’t figured it out but if I do I’ll post!! Thank you for your listen!

Thank you for the question. In my opinion the "sensitive" is in your "feel" in concert with the velocity sensitivity of the keyboard. This keyboard has a great velocity sense as opposed to others. Also, the weight of the keys is a factor. This keyboard has what's called "synth" action, or, not weighted but velocity sensitive. I hope that helps explain it!

I bought a few months ago the Arturia mini lab and I can download the analog lab 4 and 5 obviously the free version so you can but if you want the full version and you want to control the all knobs you have to pay for it but with the free version you can find a lot of really good presets 👍🏼

It's a great software with every sound you could imagine - but if you play piano I would say that getting the 88 key version of the Keylab would be best. I have the 88 key - I love it. It feels phenomenal for $350. The software that it comes with is amazing - its like having hundreds of thousands of dollars of vintage instruments for only $350.

@@WycliffStudios It's the mkii that's $999. The essential 88 is only $350. The main difference between the two is that the essential has semi-weighted (but still great feeling) keys, while the keys on the mkii are fully weighted. There are a few other differences, but the software you get stays the same.

Hola! The velocity settings are in each patch. YOu can play with those settings there.

Just ordered the MKII 61. New to keyboards and not very familiar with them. Did you say you are using a pedal in this video? Is this the only way to get the sustained notes?
