Actually, the Mellotron was not tape loops. Each note was a single length of tape, about 8 seconds long, that had a spring fastened to the end of it. When you pressed a key, there was a roller on the bottom of it that pressed the tape against a rotating capstan bar. The note would then play for the length of the tape. When the key was released it would spring back to the beginning. No loops. I had two of them and quickly learned how to fix stuck tapes! They were fabulous and, unique machines.

You sold me. I’m buying this plugin today. I have an ulterior motive. Ive been considering getting this plugin, but couldn’t justify full price to myself for a plugin that I “didnt really get” anyway. I thought about getting it because it’s the only piece of Arturia software that I don’t already have.
