1 strong left hook to the body and Dorin was done. It was his last fight and Dorin's only loss during his boxing career. I wonder why he quit. Other guys have been knocked out with a single body shot, like Virgil Hill against Roy Jones.

Gatti wasn’t a good boxer he was a champion made by the media. The winner was supposed to play against Mayweather who said that he didn’t want to fight Gatti cause he wasn’t good enough, and said he won’t be able to even touch him and that’s exactly what happened he never touched Mayweather who knocked him in a few rounds. The reality of this match is that Doroftei was paid to lose the match it eas rigged cause before that game, in Bucarest, he didn’t make the weight for a championship match and the whole gala was cancelled. The promoter of his opponent was Don King who was really mad and told Doroftei that he’ll never be boxing again if he didn’t lose against Gatti. Otherwise, Doroftei would have easily beaten Gatti it’s not even close

I will say that Gatti definitely wasn’t a great boxer he definitely was entertaining brawler and I sure as hell won’t deny boxing is shady as fuck but why would Don king have an effect on this fight that he wasn’t even a promoter for and he clearly wasn’t gonna be the promoter for mayweather vs gatti so really he what’s the upside for him when it ain’t making him money regardless

that's a bunch of bull ... he got dropped and put out with a vicious body shot after moving up in weight to fight gatti ... he retired after this fight, he had enough of boxing and what it was doing to his body ... dorin was a solid boxer, but it was considered a 50/50 fight with gatti being the bigger guy and puncher and that's what happened... gatti ko'd him
