@Sue Sue Do even the warm colored LEDs cause migraines for you? Or is it just the cool / daylight white ones? I've had horrible headaches from cool white lights, but the warm colored ones are fine for me. If even the warm ones won't work, I'd suggest compact fluorescent bulbs (again, make sure they're a warm white or even yellow / orange), or maybe even try to do candles / oil lamps / etc at night if knocking them over wouldn't be a concern (wall-mounted sconces are great if kids / pets are a concern). They're such a mood 👌Let me know if any of these work for you!

Yes Arvin!!!! Growing up my mom instilled in me that everything has a place and to be thoughtful and intentional when bringing things into a space. I cannot stand knick knacks everywhere. I prefer tasteful vingnettes. And l love a good home scent. Yes statement accent pieces are my favorite.I have a few similar brass pieces throughout my home. Please do an accent video.

You need bright white lighting in the kitchen and bathroom. Especially in small apartments with little to no windows; it’s just functional. You can have dimmable lighting or lamps and floor lighting in a warm lighting because those bright lights are harsh on a consistent all day everyday basis. I live in a typical nyc apartment and natural lighting isn’t the best and to cook, get dressed etc… different lighting is necessary for different task throughout my apt.

Actually you want to reach for light that mimics sun light. Because if the color is to cool tone you won’t see the true colors of everything. Which is important if your cooking, like if your checking for how much pink is in your meat ect.

I have bright whites for when i need to see clearly, but they are rarely used. These are functional lighting. I also have a lot of lamps all over my home that has mostly in warm and daylight hues. That is what we regularly used. Very cozy, very relaxing..

Test the lights out in your rooms before switching all the bulbs. The warm bulbs make my blue and white rooms look yellow and tan. Gotta have the the cool daylight bulbs to maintain the colors. To add warmth here in the long, cold, bleak Michigan winters, I rely on jewel tone blues, things that have some sparkle or glow, lowering the lights, and inviting textures when changing out the rooms. I'd love to hear Arvin's take on warming up cool toned rooms while keeping the color palate intact.

Plants!... or, as needed, is floor lamps. Another way...if it's a window wall, extend your curtains all the way across the entire wall. I did this in my bedroom and it looks fantastic...so lux!

Arvin, I love diffusers and agree scents can really make a difference in our living spaces. However, please be aware that there are scents that are toxic to our dogs and cats. Lists of specific scents are easily found online.

Great idea about the lighting system that is app controlled. I live in the Midwest and it’s very humid. To help with the air circulating nicely we have fans on in our thirty-foot ceilings and they’re on year-long. Because the ceilings are so high we have to have all of these extra remotes to keep track of. Thanks

Ohhhh that willow shade is perfect for a couple rooms in my house. But dang, $179!!! I am happy for all of you who can buy one, though! I have learned the necessity of decorative storage over the last year, and I have managed to get rid of a lot of ugly plastic containers, replacing them with baskets and other stylish containers. The plastic utility bins are now in closets and cabinets or under my bed. Vignettes have come in handy too. I am always editing my shelves to maintain a neat appearance. I figure that if I need to dust once a week I can take the time to declutter as well. It has changed my life.

Brass is an underestimated element. I love thriving vintage brass pieces and restoring ones beyond pretty patina. Barkeeper's Friend soft cleanser and a toothbrush makes it look new and with some work gets rid of those ugly spots. This weekend I bought a vintage brass incense burner. I have those thrift stores where interesting things get overlooked. Brass is timeless. I have pieces that I purchased new twenty years ago. It warms up any room.
