I also think having a neutral earthy palette (wood, metal, stone), investing in architectural features/moments vs too much decor, and using wood stained vs painted cabinets makes things look very expensive - think “what would a 5 star hotel do”

What I like and appreciate about your tips, suggestions and advise on home decor is that they can be used by ANYONE with ANY kind of decor. (Even that style they are calling "farmhouse"!) I decorate in a more eclectic, even boho, style and your advise works for me, as well. In addition, it works for your wardrobe! I collect jewelry - all kinds of jewelry! When I wear an expensive, antique piece and pair it with inexpensive costume, everyone thinks ALL the jewelry is expensive! This was a great video!

I went into Arhaus just to browse for inspiration. A relative is giving me an antique 10 x 13 handmade Moroccan rug, and I needed sofa inspiration. The designer wasn’t busy, and even though I told her I was not buying, she spent an hour pulling fabric samples and looking at various sofa styles with me! Being polite and nice pays off (and dressing well when you shop!). I love your laugh Arvin...it’s easy to tell you have a happy soul!

Arvin I loved this video. I am more of a Pottery Barn Arhaus person. I was able to purchase my living room furniture for the Arhaus outlet and my family room furniture for the Pottery Barn outlet. I got a $2600 sleeper sofa for $635. The back leg were missing my husband while standing in the store googled and found legs on Amazon that said Pottery Barn legs we ordered they were perfect you would never know 2 legs were missing. With my saving I was able to purchase a lot of my accessories at Pottery and Arhaus. I have art that I purchase over the years that is expensive but I had more than 20 years. I get so many great idea from you. This video nailed it for how to make your home look expensive! .

Ok, nobody asked but I decorate my bathroom like I do any other room in the house. I use large artwork, either abstract or framed traditional on a main wall, and three apothecary glass containers with lids (in staggered heights) on the counter, set on a mirrored tray. Clean and not cluttered, hide as many personal items in drawers or in bins under sinks. I'm extra, I use heavy glass soap dispensers and fill them with light blue liquid soap because it matches my hand towels. Lol I'd refrain from fake florals in the bathroom, that's very outdated. Greenery yes, florals no. Just think clean, simple, and classy. I'm sure Arvin would make a great video, hope he sees your request. Good luck!
