Absolutely agree with Gabby for once. Southgate failed with probably the most capable England squad we've had in decades. There's coaches over the past 10 years that would have had that England squad dominating and winning major competitions. The whole honours system has turned into a circus, and Southgate getting knighted is a prime example of that.

More recently that isn't the case, yet we still can't defeat these weakened nations with one of our strongest of squads. Frankly, the problems lie with Ratcliff & co, they've let things slide so far, they have recruited such substandard players. All they do now to proove their management 'skills' is to fire 'highly paid' tea ladies and cancel former MU players' payments to save 40k. If they had fired substandard Ten Hag at the end last season, they'd have saved on his salary and redunancy monies and not hired more incompetent players who they'll have great difficulty shifting off the books.
