@dragonforcecam2 ай бұрын
I was hoping someone would bring up the Taker injury thing, I was going to if I didn't see a comment. They basically only put them together as a means for Undertaker to help out Big Show to work more like a monster and for Show to work 90% of the match, that's why many of the matches Taker is just standing on the apron refusing to tag in or he is just sitting at the announce desk. There ended up being a few matches where Taker did some more stuff, but you could tell he needed time off to heal and he felt like the character was starting to get stale which is also what lead to him coming back as biker Undertaker.

@TheHive6164 ай бұрын
Honestly, Head n Dead would have been much more interesting than the UNHOLY UNION OF SLOW BROODING TALL MEN. The best tag teams have some sort of variety they can offer between their components. Rock n Sock might not have put on any technical masterpieces, but they offered personality and completely different styles, that made everything they did memorable, as well as playing into the angles... And if you remember the Attitude era, the Angles were carrying the wrestling, not the other way round. Remember, this was the period before Lesnar, Angle, Benoit and Guerrero decided to remind the world that the matches could also carry the angles, and half the roster was working with unfortunate injuries and other issues. As well as they did financially at the time, 99-00 was a dark time for WWF behind the scenes.
@thehorrorhound65754 ай бұрын
Head n dead is such a great name too. And I think Al Snow could’ve made that work. Not only was his character “crazy” enough to want to team with someone like undertaker, but we found out during his J.O.B. The Big Show getting hit in the back and sliding down the dirt is one of the funniest clips ever. I regularly watch it on KZbin because it just cracks me up so much. Even 25 years later, it still brings a smile to my face. Only because Big Show REALLY pulled that 'sell' off well by allowing himself to limply slide down the mound of dirt. Jesus, I don't remember Mideon wearing that terrible outfit. What, was he trying to be a part of D-Generation X? Why didn't Val Venis and Mankind ever tag together randomly? They could've been the Cock and Sock connection lol. Oh, the puns that would've ensued from the commentators during that time. Val Venis and Al Snow when he had "Head"...I mean, they had endless jokes at their disposal by putting random people together. It would've been better than "Head Cheese" with a wasted Super Blackman. Speaking of random Tag Teams...Jesus Christ was Mic Foley in a lot of random Tag Teams, and I thought Austin was bad. We have Undertaker and Mankind, Kane and Mankind, Steve Austin and Dude Love, and The Rock and Mankind. He certainly loved tagging with the main eventers. I forgot how non-sensical 1999 was. Chyna turns on DX, specifically Triple H. Triple H turns on X-Pac. Billy Gunn turns on Road Dogg. X-Pac teams with Kane. X-Pac turns on Kane. The New Aged Outlaws reunite (due to both being terrible as single competitors). D-Generation X reunites. This takes place all in less than a year.
