Is it possible to use the drumpads when using drum instruments to live loop?

Of course you can, it’s just that i find the keys to be alot more intuitive, there are more keys than pads, and they are more responsive.

@@Marius_Tarceatu hi Marius, I've just ordered a MiniLab 3 in Alpine White to use with Rowlands excellent value software Zenbeats v3 (DAW), which is very mobile friendly and only £2.80 a month for all the presets!!!

Nice vids! I wonder what function did the audio interface have in this looping since I don't see the midi connected to it?
@Marius_Tarceatu Жыл бұрын
Well, it is connected to the laptop, and it helps with latency so when i press a key, it doesn’t have too much lag. You can live loop without it, but depending on the computer power and your drivers, you may not be able to play as a live instrument would.

Wow! Awesome. Do I need a PC for this or could music be created and played with no connection to PC?

Yes you do. One with Ableton Live installed :)

Is this workflow possible on other DAWs, or even on an ipad DAW like cubasis? I guess what I mean to say is whether those shortcuts that you did on the keyboard also works on other DAWS
@Marius_Tarceatu Жыл бұрын
The keyboard shortcuts are built into the Minilab 3 when you select the default Ableton control. You can set it to use the commands as those with user presets, but other DAWs do not have clip lauch like Ableton, so it might be harder.
