I became a fan when I lived in L.A. in 1989. I went to Oakland for week one vs Denver and had a good time in a win. The crowd was very rowdy, boisterous and passionate as I expected. The fanbase can be a little intimidating to some people. I remember seeing a family with small kids looking kind of scared as a large mass of fans were yelling "RAIIIIIIDERRRRS," as they were heading to the exits. I will always be a fan! RN4L

JUST WIN BABY! I’m a Raider fan, born and raised in West LA. I was only 5 when they left to go back up to Oakland. I remember going to games as a 4 and 5 year old at the LA Coliseum and having so much fun with my whole family. My dad raised me to be a die hard Raider fan, through the good times, and the bad. And for us Raider fans, there has been a lot of bad. But, I will always be a Raider fan whether they play here, Oakland, Las Vegas, or Anchorage. Silver and Black forever!

Caught an Oakland game at the Colosseum last year. I was in San Fran for Monday night football for the Giants and Niner game (Giant fan). But while I was there with friends for the weekend we caught the raiders while in town and I really digged the fans there. Raiders fans you guys are awesome! I fell in love with the atmosphere there! I took a walk in the parking lot before the game, the mixed diversity you see there is beautiful! You can hear hip-hop and Mexican Music all mixed together and everyone getting along with an incredible vibe! I would never switch teams but if I did I’d switch to being a Raider because of that day! Love and respect at first sight!

I honestly dont think Vegas will embrace the Raiders. I know people are going to disagree with me on this one. Despite all you hear about the city being excited in welcoming the Raiders, the fans wont be that supportive. Vegas is a city known more for partying 24/7, not so much football. Sure its another reason to go to Vegas (and a new stadium helps the cause), but at the end of the day I feel like Vegas wont really care unless of course they go to the playoffs or Super Bowl. Now Vegas loves hockey which is nice, but football? Not so much, especially given how the Raiders have done the last 10-15 years.

I'll give the fans this accolade, I volunteered at Chargers old stadium in San Diego for charity that had part proceeds of the beer/snack booth going to a good cause in my community - my beer tap quit working so orders were slowed down considerably (along with a bit of stress of serving everyone in line as alcohol was getting cut-off at half-time). I dealt with rude Charger fans that day but not one Raider fan got out-of-line, in actuality, they were really patient & understanding re the situation.

So that's one way they deter tailgate parties but not the only way. No Black Hole allowed in LV and boy is that a stab in the back, there's a reason why they killed the Black Hole, take a guess. I speculate the LV crowd will be radically different than the Oakland crowd.

Example; in my S.F. middle school, we all rooted the Raiders on to victory in SB11. And you know that the Forty Niner Faithful will always owe a debt of gratitude to the Raiders for stomping the Redskins in SB18 "What was the final score of the Giant's game?" Which would be automatically followed with "How'd the A's do?" Same for Cal and Stanford and the Forty Niners and Raiders. A very common illustration of the bipartisanship in the Bay Area that I grew up in, and it was like that for several decades. I know you must remember those caps, A's on one end, Giants on the other. It's really too bad that most of the good things about living in NorCal are gone forever... But I do believe that the Raider's never ending drama will not keep them in Las Vegas, and will find them back in Oakland again someday, maybe not in my lifetime, but one day.

Actually Mark Davis did everything he could to stay in Oakland he did not want to move but the local city council would not work with him. The coliseum is falling apart has cracks in its foundation and the City turn a blind eye to the Raiders .

Al Davis wanted to stay in So Cal and build a stadium out there @ Hollywood Park but that fell through so he had to move back to Oakland. Mark Davis is making serious moves and the venue in Vegas is going to be top notch for years to come. Thank Libby for all that she didn't do.

If you want to look for blame; Look no further than the State of California and the City of Oakland! 60 years in "The Dump" aka Oakland Alameda County Coliseum is the real reason owner Marc Davis packed up and moved for greener pastures. Vegas will be a good fit for the Raider Nation. Looking forward to it myself. As a Raiders fan since the days of Darryl Lamonica, I bleed Silver and Black!! With that said, The City of Oakland has lost something they will never be able to replace. As a fan myself, I thank them for setting the standard for "True Fans" everywhere!
