I'm a little out there when it comes to esoteric thoughts that cross my mind, how about you? ... So let's put ourselves in the disciples shoes ... Remember the Music in the 60s for the first 30 seconds of the interlude to M-I-S-S-O-N I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E ... your mission should you accept it (your name here) the tape would play w/instructions + details, then blow up at the end (no evidence), then wishing him good luck or courage should he accept it - so can you picture the 11, boys what are we going to do? the idea Israel ruling is now in a galaxy far away, they may think we too are the ring leaders who planned it we are marked men We know what He told us, but did you see how emaciated He looked? Thomas spoke up, they beat Him to a bloody pulp, no way anyone comes back from that, we didn't even recognize Him if they were this mean, and cruel to a man without fault, who was innocent - what are they gonna do with us? Would you give up your life and limb to rescue a body a lifeless, beaten, hopelessly dead beyond all doubt body ... Philip and Bart, count me out others to Pete, what are you gonna do? I'm getting lost into obscurity where they won't find me, and going back to my professional job of fishing, it's all we knew, it's all we have left the hope of glory is no longer with us. Isn't it amazing - how the unbelievers BELIEVED and the very disciples - well were more - what does the eye see, how do we feel about it today, very human and not concerned about guarding the spiritual today ... how would any of them, ever go back to the Temple, they'd be excommunicated, made a laughing stock, extricated if not killed and never accepted again into the traditional religious circles. So was rescue on their mind? Even if they did, they'd be shaking like Barney Fife trying to do such an absurd attempt.
