Looks amazing. Thank you for sharing this Espresso machine ☕🙏

Hi, thanks for posting! I’m confused about the 20amps verse the 15 amps receptacles.. does this machine run on a 220 or 110 voltage? And please elaborate if possible, how is this different or it correlates to having the 15 versus the 20amp plug.

the machine is 110v and 20amp, but comes with a 15amp converter plug. The main difference is if you're using the machine on a 20amp circuit, the machine has more steam pressure.

Wow...the heat-up time is only two minutes and fifty seconds slower than my Breville. ...not bad.

Was the plug adapter included ? Where can i find one ? Is there a setting in the machine to set 20 vs 15 amp. Thats the only point i am not sure off because my circuit is only 15.

yes, it's included!

How does the machine know to reduce steaming power when using the 15amp adapter?

Likely can sense what ampage is reaching the machine

It uses a CPU.

@@clivecoffee The machine does not know that you have put a 20A to 15A adapter inline with the cable. They are relying on the fact that modern wiring for kitchen (since about 2000) in the US requires a minimum of 2 feeds of 20A. Most electricians will install 15A receptacles on a 20A feed as this will cover 99.9% of all equipment ever plugged in. When the water heater and steam heater are running the machine will draw 2100W = 17.5A. This will not be a continuous power draw, only when both heaters are heating the water. So if you are not trying to pull your coffee and steam at the same time you will probably not be drawing 2100W from your wall receptacle. If you have a 15A breaker in your breaker panel for your kitchen (or for the feed that supplies power to wherever your have plugged this machine into), then the wiring (feeds) will be 15A, and running this machine will / can overload the wiring. Most likely your breaker will trip, not always as you are only overloading the feed by 15% for a short time as you steam the water, but it is not good practice to use a 20A to 15A adapter on a 15A feed. I'm actually surprised they can get away with providing you with this adapter. Your 15A wiring will get hot and if it is old the insulation could get damaged increasing the chance of an electrical fault. I believe Ascaso do mention that the feed must be 20A, if not then I recommend they do so. Ideally you should have your 15A receptacle replaced by 20A as long as the feed and the breaker are rated for 20A where this machine is installed and not use the 15 to 20A cable provided.

@@clivecoffeeThat's nonsense. You are misinforming your potential customers. You should speak with an electrical engineer to learn about that 15 amp adapter.
