Quick question, is the quality of the replacement screen the same as the original? My M8 is developing some sort of ghost touches where it registers the touch when my finger is only hovering above the screen, thus I wanted to replace it. Awesome tutorial by the way.

Seriously try very hard to not bend your battery while most times you might be okay with a little bend other times might not. This will result in fire and toxic fumes. Wow. This is actually made quite nice. I think I might have to start looking at Huawei when I upgrade my phone next time.

JerryRigEverything i Read in one of your reddit posts from awhile back, that you own your own repair store. Do you keep LCD's and other parts in stock at the store? As in, if lets say 20 people came in today to get their iphones and galaxies fixed, would you have those screens in your inventory already? to offer same day service.

+Ben Mathewson I live in a smaller town, so I do not keep that many screens on hand. For popular phones, I will keep screens on hand, for not so popular phones, Ill order the screen if the customer 'prepays' some of the repair cost. That way they wont just bail when I finally receive the replacement screen.

Ben Mathewson Usually it is just a cracked glass, and the phone can still be used while they wait for the part to arrive. Dont ever throw away screens! Make sure to sell them back to a recycler. You can get a lot of money for broken screens.

+JerryRigEverything Sir, I have mate 8 and I think few drops of water got inside the phone and the screen is black but the the phone is working (you can hear the notifications and the fingerprint is working and even the touch screen is working but you cannot see anything). The warranty is not valid since there is water inside and they said I have to change the motherboard about 340$ and I refused since the phone is worth 533$ brand new . I'm going to buy S7 edge soon but I still want to fix the mate. Do you think it is really a motherboard problem or only LCD ? Your reply is highly appreciated

Hello. i have a question. I have a problem with my mate 8. It's that that my GPS is not working (i don't get a GPS fix). I've sent my phone to the repair shop with guarantee, but they refused to fix it couse i have 2 slight dents in housing and apparently that is what is couses the GPS problem. (one dent is in area of volume buttons and the other is where the charging port is). It's really the dents that can couse this, or is the GPS itself? I could probably change the housing myself (they want me to pay 110€ for replacing it), but how is with replacing the GPS module itself? is it even possible? thank you in advance :-)
