Those enterprises which do the greatest good the enemy attempts to corrupt the most. Think of the Seven Deadly Sins and that the evil one has these as the brightest lights cast the darkest shadows. God made us moral agents, in the measure we use material things for good, we see their good. Evil being a parasite, leeches off of the benefits given by good. I think the issue is not the technology per se, but that we are too spiritually immature to use it for its good while avoiding falling for its temptations. But I am but a man, trust God and His Church and if what I say contradicts that in any way, disregard my part, tell me if possible and please pray for me. God bless you, through our Blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

"When we see him, we will be like him" scripture says. It makes tremendous sense that the purgative *process* (not a place for a time) is our being brought to the face of Christ, sanctifying us fully for the Kingdom. That's one very sensible and beautiful way I've heard purgatory explained by a Catholic apologist.

@marvalice34555 күн бұрын
This is wrong. God _does_ punish, and he must do so because he is loving. They idea that punishment is unloving is a satanic inversion. Indeed, scripture says that the man who doesn't punish his son, hates his son. It's very easy to allow cultural ideas which are antichristian to infiltrate our perception. this is why taking scripture and the writings of the saints is so important

One question I have is “Why and what makes purgatory painful”? Is it the thought of not being in heaven yet and that you could be but have to wait to be in Christ’s glory that makes it so painful?
@Tom_McMurtry6 күн бұрын
I've listened to some people's NDEs where they experienced every person's pain and emotional pain that they affected positively (so good feelings) and negatively in all capacities from their time on earth. I suppose that negative pain is doing sin. So being far from God. I don't know if this is an explanation for pain in purgatory for sure but it could be. As in the people learn from the pain as well the goodness they have caused in full perfection
