His method to strike the ball is so dry, so flat (Ball doesn't even takes effect) and his accuracy is remarkable. Almost all his shots are correct in direction to goal.

Yh I remember before mbappe and haaland burst onto the scene all anyone could talk about was asensio. But he seemingly vanished and was forgotten after the 17/18 season not only due to injuries but because everyone turned their attention to mbappe and haaland and also vini when he joined real, becoming their main youngster

His striking technique is so similar to messi. If you look closely just at the moment he is going to shoot he doesn't need much space similar to messi and that's why GK is mostly stunned. One touch to set up and another to kick without much backlift ( which is akin to messi), obviously he is not as efficient as messi but his technique is great to watch.
