There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, sim racing is open to everyone regardless if you’re on console or pc etc. In fact they are finding ways to have console compatibility

Thanks for sharing details about this wheel... I heard other review from Dave cam where he is selling this wheel on the level of the Porsche Grid (he is in partnership with asetek as he says in the video)

I have a Forte WB & Wheel and Invicta pedals and I'm very happy with my investment. I have a Thrustmaster Ferrari with screen that was converted to an Acetek mount. It's good but doesn't have the quality of my Forte wheel. I have an Invicta Wheel on order - can't wait for it to arrive!

For that astronomical price: they should have racing gloves included. Those white gloves (although better than none) are like those that you find when building or assembling cabinets or drawers

Its funny because 99% of everyone likes the lmp handles the most. We like how soft and clean they feel. We dont want chalky or overly textured grips. Ive yet to have a problem with smooth soft grips not having grip. Idk i dont like grips that ahve to much grip i like comfort and to me they were some of the best grips ive felt. Just preference.
@dannyleeracing2 ай бұрын
Y'know, I think they MAY have improved the LMP handle texture recently - I might be wrong (I'm asking them)
@reviewforthetube64852 ай бұрын
@dannyleeracing oh cool! Maybe that's what it is then? Because yeah I'm talking about the lmp grips you buy with the invicta. Not the older ones. Maybe that's it. They feel good. Different then all of the other grips. Even the color is a bit darker now. I like there regular rubber grips alot though. There xl grips are my favorite grips on the market. 😊
@reviewforthetube64852 ай бұрын
So yeah the lmp grips seem to be different material. The other grips are rubbery the lmp are a bit more solid not sticky but still squishy. Nice grips. Also im positive they will have more grip materials and shifter add ons in the future since everything they have left open is able to be changed out. Seems to be there idea for this. Also I like the self leveling dashboards we all have a preference and saying nobody wants it is false. Reviewers should never ever make such bold statements speaking for an entire community. Just saying. Asetek actually does true consumer and community surveys on all platforms and pages and we get to make the choices for half of what they do. So don't worry they are asking us as a community about this stuff. @@dannyleeracing

Shifters are the one thing I wish they'd have improved. The regular ones feel fine on the forte, but they don't feel premium. Even if they offered a premium upgrade kit, with better internal components and a nicer feel, for the other wheels that came as standard here, I think it would have gone a long way. The handles I have less of an issue with just given that their ergonomics are very good

Was this a loan for the review or did they give you the wheel for free to do this review? I am not saying yours is but you have to understand that almost all the reviews seem like ads now, plus these wheels were all received at the same exact time The price is absurd: this wheel should probably cost 1200 max even with it being fully loaded. It doesn’t seem to do anything all that different than the other wheels that are half that price. The one thing Asetek did do well is to allow this build open for customization.
@dannyleeracing3 ай бұрын
@@wangoh-uo1gn I appreciate the comment and I hope you watched the whole way through, I do highlight the good AND the bad here. If it was an ad, it would be 100% positive. Asetek tends to give the wheels for free for review, not on loan, plus they're all customised so I can't imagine they're going to want them back. They do this under the agreement a video review is made, but they have zero control over the content, that's up to each individual reviewer. I did mark this video as paid promotion due to that fact and I do state that in the video, always. You will never see me unduly defending Asetek or anyone else from fair criticism, I partake in that enough myself. What you're describing (multiple videos simultaneously) is just a typical product launch, the only difference being that it looks like more creators were invited to take part than your average launch, but then it is quite a significant product for them. Given my previous reviews regarding Asetek it was of legitimate interest to me for sure, especially as it addresses one of Asetek's big weaknesses (aesthetic). Even so, comments are open and the public decides what's good and what's not, not us - all we do is put it on screen
@wangoh-uo1gn3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your honesty and the time to explain things clearly. Just to clarify: I did not point out and say your review was an ad and unfortunately I posted this comment here after seeing a few undesirable reviews earlier, which as a result: is a bit unfair to you so I apologize on my part. I do enjoy watching your channel so I think by now, I can differentiate who is genuine and who is not These are extremely expensive wheels and please understand at times it’s hard not to get jealous when you see reviewers receive these products for free. Some of the videos from others, in my opinion, are not even reviews but are merely just ads and are poorly put together. They also know they don’t want to provide negative criticism that will offend the manufacturer knowing that they will be pampered with free future products. It’s simply not enough to say what’s good and bad about the product, anybody has the ability to add all sorts of opinions whether it is true or not. The videos are not only short in length, but fundamentally show no understanding of the product itself and how it compares to other wheels on the market. In my opinion this way of sending free products is not right and sends a bad message across the board. It’s no wonder that all these reviewers were pumping out the reviews right away. If these products were on loan it will make more sense and in my opinion it should at least be done that way. Why would you be rewarding someone with a super expensive product for a short video with general and superficial comments? Keep in mind that there are consumers out there that work extremely hard for their money and would love to own one of these wheels? I firmly believe that if you buy a product with your hard earned money, your mindset alone is much more different. Biases will will not occur, especially when you plan to use and keep that product for the long term. Seriously if you were me after seeing how many free units were given out: would you buy it for this astronomical price? You (and others) have received these products so obviously it works in your favour as you get a free product and you get to monetize on your channel, but for the rest of us out there who are longing to get one of these wheels, we will need to fork out a hefty price tag in order to own one. Don’t mind me, I just can’t help but feel bitter seeing what’s going around and hopefully you can relate to this.
@dannyleeracing3 ай бұрын
@@wangoh-uo1gn I completely understand 100%, anyone who ignored this would be silly - I can only really soften the perceived blow by saying that it does still take a good, firm week of work to create a video (at least for me) so it's far from free. That transaction (receive our product in exchange for a review) is the only part that's set in stone, it's then up to the reviewer to make their judgement and choose what they say and how they say it. The aim should always be an honest review because brands may come and go but you guys are here for it all. I've criticised Asetek directly in the past (button kit review especially) and I have no trouble doing it again, provided it's fair and rational, however the same thing goes for praise. I release videos well aware that some might automatically discount them just because the product was received for free, but no normal person has the capacity to buy all these products so it requires manufacturer support to make it possible, all you can do is ensure the content of the review is authentic, i.e. you'd say the same thing to a friend as you would to the world. That's all down to the integrity of the author.
@wangoh-uo1gn3 ай бұрын
@@dannyleeracingYes, but like I said earlier, these wheels should be on loan (sent back) and not given to keep, in exchange for a review. I know you don’t want to hear this, but another way to appropriately handle this: is for Asetek to still charge for the wheel and give the KZbin reviewer a discount based on the quality of that review. That will at least maintain some fairness and integrity on all three sides (the manufacturer, the reviewer and the prospective buyer) and also reduce the number of biased opinions coming from these reviews. Perhaps you disagree but in my opinion, it’s very bad practice and it’s totally unfair to those who actually do pay and purchase this expensive product. What’s even more ludicrous, is the possibility that a reviewer will sell this wheel to make a profit and to promote their channel. Maybe others might fall into this trap but it’s a definite NO for me: I won’t buy this wheel as I am not fond with such corrupt marketing ploy and tactics to say the least.

I have all Asetek hardware (Invikta pedals/wheelbase). Everything they offer is premium quality at a fair price. Especially comparing to other top tier options. As an exception, I've always felt that their steering wheels are way over priced compared to others. At full spec your in Ascher racing/GSI territory but with cheap plastic shifters and no aviation style USB connector. Asetek also make bold design choices with their wheels that rarely hit. Like the large machined logo on the back or ugly orange toyish color scheme. Even the forte wheel is way overpriced. Especially since the nicer better feeling GT Neo has full aluminum bodied shifters and costs less than half the price. Honestly pretty disappointed here. This should be a sub 1k to $1100 wheel.
@wangoh-uo1gn3 ай бұрын
I agree and you don’t need to be disappointed. This wheel for sure doesn’t cost over 1k to make. They have basically over inflated the prices on purpose. Also don’t forget other costs are not included like the mount, the screws, the spacer (if needed), QR, shipping and taxes. In fact, there are well built wheels on the market out there that offer a similar or even a better overall experience at a fraction of the cost. They are basically greedy and making the consumers pay for their brand name, as that is how they want others to see them: in the elite category

The teasers looked really promising, but in more light it's somewhat disappointing, even just from an aesthetic point of view. I think Asetek didn't quite meet the mark here, and potentialy missed a huge opportunity to redeem themselves. Those that are already 'fans' or invested in the eco system will likely be satisfied, but as you pointed out-those that are not, even with the ability to use it outside of the eco system-will likely opt for the more attractive alternatives in the same price point. The forged carbon fiber accents look amazing alone, but mixing the twill and forged carbon fiber was a mistake, and how that got through to final production baffles me-plain matte black aluminium with the forged carbon fiber accents would have looked epic. I really like the option to interchange the grips, and replace them if they become overly worn without having to replace the wheel, but it would also have been nice to have seen some new 'Invicta' closed grips made of a nicer silicone material. It's mystifying how such an established name in sim racing can be so inconsistent.
