These are the secret pokemon you have no idea Ash owns in the pokemon anime. This is probably the most unknown list of pokemon you didn't know about. There is no better-classified Pokemon in the anime than these pokemon that Ash owns. Ok maybe, but still. I hope we see Ash use these in pokemon journeys the series.

I knew every single one of them lol But the title was very misleading, a lot of these were NOT Pokemon that Ash "owned". Ash did not own Larvitar, Haunter, any of the League Exam Pokemon, Raichu or Garchomp. The League Exam Pokemon were merely rentals he had to use, Larvitar was always temporary as Ash was merely taking it home, nor did he officially catch it. He never officially caught Haunter, who was mostly just doing Ash a solid. The Raichu was another rental situation where he had to use it in order for him to learn. And Garchomp was merely a ride Pokemon, not an actual Pokemon he owned or used in battle. Point is, Ash didn't *own* these Pokemon, he was effectively borrowing them. That's like saying the times Misty used one of his Pokemon means that Misty "owned" them. A better candidate for "Ash's secret Pokemon you didn't know he owned" would have been Mr. Mime, had it not shown up in Journeys. Ash caught that thing all the way back in Season 1, only to literally never use it until Journeys.

Welp, can't argue with that. Although I do consider "owned" the same as possess. For example Ash took care of Larvitar so he had it in his possession. It was only temporary so I understand, but i'd say he owned larvirar in that time period. Of course the title isn't specific to wether or not he owned it now, or else you wouldn't have been here lol

Actually, togepi was technically ash's pokemon aswell, since he owned the egg. Wierd it didnt get mentioned, since larvitar and bedril got a spot on the list. In any case, he found the egg somewhere along the way (would have to check the wiki to be 100% certain) but lost it afterit hatched due to a mini tourney over it to misty. Togepi also formed a strong bond with misty, becouse she was the 1st thing it has seen after the birth.

and what about the bellsprout he caught in jhoto, lemme explain, the johto series, season 3 episode 130, title name: a bout with sprout, it was a bellsproute episode, in the episode a kid named zackie found intrest for ash's pikachu so he decided to catch it, so basicly ash gave him a pokeball (i don't remember the reason), and when zackie throws the ball at pikachu, pikachu was caught by this kid, or so they all thought, when zzackie sends out the pikachu he caught he founed out that it was a bellsprout, so how ash caught it and owned it nobody asked?, well let's get to the kanto times when ash caught 30x tuaros, meanwhile ash caught them we saw brock throwing a ball as well, but thepokeball belongs to ash so the tauros brock caught is owned by ash, let's get back to bellsproute, we saw zackie using 1 of ash's pokeballs to catch it and like the tauros and brock thing, at the moment ballsprout was caught, ash owned it but gave it was as soon as it was caught

first off, ash didn't own any of the rental pokemon, not rowlet (who was owned by the festivalcomitty), not raichu, not arbok, weezing or meowth. he didn't own garchomp, because he merely used it as a ride pokemon (it was owned by the eather foundation). larvitar and haunter were never caught by ash, but they did travel with ash for some time and he could command them to some degree. the others are all legit catches. except for seaking though, it was clearly stated in the competition rules that the pokemon could not be kept and ownership stayed with the catching contest administrators i do see some people in comments say that ash owns mr. mime, but he doesn't. he gave his mother a pokeball and delia caught mr. mime, ash merely used it in journeys for a while, but it's delia's pokemon, not ash's. he hasn't used mr. mime in journeys for a while now and even in the masters eight, he isn't using it, just depending on his own pokemon.

ash will have a sun team with torkoal, then his bulbasaur will evolve to venusaur, infernape, charizard, garchomp or whoever else he likes. crawdaunt will also be strong if corphish evolves, gilscor who is OU in competitive games should also be used by ash more & snorlax.
