I actually believe the Ash Coma Theory is the only plausible explanation for why Ash remains ten after 25 years rather than him being granted eternal youth by Ho-Oh. His companions don't seem to age either... Imagine if that was the actual explanation and how they end the series - a 1200+ episode comatose dream. They'd be pulling a St. Elsewhere.

The Ho-Oh Theory makes the most sense to be honest. I mean, the Dream Theory works too, but you could apply that theory onto ANY mystery. Edit: I found new evidence for the Dream Theory. Ash’s mom is 20 or somewhere around that. Ash is 10. Meaning that Ash’s mom gave birth to him when she was like 10 or something. Dreams often make no sense. Maybe the anime is a dream and Pokémon don’t actually exist in the universe that Ash lives in? I don’t watch the anime so I could be completely wrong lol

as far as the ash eternal youth by ho-oh theory there is a better version of that one. Instead of it being Ash's wish, it was his mothers wish for her son to be happy doing what he loves forever. Meaning he and all his associates dont age either because that what makes ash happiest, out having pokemon adventures as a kid with all his friends.

The ditto theory is interesting, but in the prequel you see in mewtwo strikes back where the other clones die one scientist seems to hint at their previous attempts all having died after a few days. It seems that creating life they worked out but sustaining it was another story.

Apparently in one of the original Japanese translations for a Pokémon game (I can't remember which, but a Game Theory video about Nurse Joy talks about it) people and Pokémon at one point were so similar they could even breed. So what if humans battling levels them up along with the Pokémon. Who knows, maybe Ash decided to stay with Pikachu by not evolving as well.

In the japanese versions of diamond & pearl (the DS ones, not the remakes) in the library within sinnoh, a book there also mentions how pokemon & people once got married to one another, a long while ago. It was changed to something like how they once ate at the same table or something like that, in the english versions. So something like that, could give more strength to that theory also. Not sure if the quote you mentioned is the one i have mentioned also, but it is something i've heard of before.

The theory Cubone is actually a Charmander who's tail was never lit because the mother Charizard died makes more sense, the skull even matches better to a Charizards head and the body of Cubone matches more with Charmander, plus the fact that Cubone a Normal type can learn Fire skills just adds to the theory.

The current ending was so much better. Ash becoming World Champion after becoming Alola Champion was so much better but I honestly would of had Ash win in Kalos. That was the perfect First Big League for him to win... it was more like a Pokemon game anyways as Gen 7 and it's handholding was terrible. I wanted to murder Kukui after playing that game and all of the cast but Alola just was not Kalos and that whole Ash performing in The League Finals in Kalos should of ended with Ash smacking of the Elite Four out and dethroning Diantha. Serena kisses Ash at The HOF in which she is not allowed to enter but that would of been the cherry on top and would of made us all thought the series was over....until Alola. Ash could just travel to Alola on a vacation celebrating his Victory in the Kalos League or something because it is Hawaii after all. Ash decides to explore the region after running into Alolan Pokemon and then Gen 7 starts from there. Hell Mario games can get away with this simple premise so I don't see why Pokemon shouldn't either but I just don't see Ash badge collecting again as a Champion so that might be a problem to write in.

Cubone and kangaskan theory. I've heard this one alot but what if cubone is actually a baby charmander who's mother charizard died? The skulls match much better and the cubone sprite looks more like a charmander who has lost its flame.
