Interesting, my younger sister worked at a second hand store. A large brass container with a top came in for sale. When moving it, she dropped it and all this gray white powder went everywhere. She realized they were someone's ashes and her personality changed being a real curt complaining person ever since! Ugh.....

I'd take any claim that a horror movie is based on true events with a large pinch of salt. I mean Amityville is a prime example - it's been proven a hoax and even admitted as such by the Lutz family's lawyer who helped create it, and nobody who has lived in that house in the 50 years since those events supposedly happened has experienced anything supernatural.
