I love the idea that all this is being caused by a small fraction of Aurelion Sol's power. Seriously there is so many things in League that's directly from Aurelion Sol. Ascension, Leona's power, Diana's power (remember they specify the moons power is just a reflection of the sun light just like how it works in real life) . Shen's power (eye of twilight), how the Nexus's in League are powered by the energy of the moon, (which is why Xerath wants to absorb them since he would get more sun energy in return), Nocturne was born from the Nexus's as well. Like damn Aurelion Sol op.

I know I'm years late to the party, but I just wanna say that I totally called it on Xerath being behind the fishy shit with the empress while watching your Azir video. Also, I am very very very disappointed in this character for going on with his plan to betray the only friend he ever had despite learning that he never forgot about his promise and everything he had done had actually been in service of it. He just needed the power necessary to carry out his promise without it causing a civil war. If only they had been more honest with each other. Also, damn! Sivir looks beautiful here.

Azir had a plan in motion, he knew that releasing the Slaves wouldn't be that simple, he had to take the necessary steps but Xerath, not realizing that is what led to his downfall he had no idea of what his brother was doing so decided to bubble down and continue his plan..... so basically, if i understood right, xerath and azir both wanted azir to be the emperor, with xerath as his right hand man, but xerath thought azir still thought of him as a slave, and decided to be the emperor himself, but he didnt know azirs plan, and when he finally told him, it was too late for xerath to cancel his plan and he did it, not knowing it would destoy the entire empire, and now, xerath and azir cant have peace TL;DR: the two both had their own plans and didnt tell each other, so both plans crossed and destroyed a country?

@Sorry, i dont Get it azir was not the good guy. he was a bad guy whit good intentions, those being: free the slaves eventually as long as doing so dosent stop me from being emperor. in short: he was a tyrant who firmly believe that ruling Shurima was more important than the freedom of its citizens, cause remember, slaves are citizens too, so to summarize: Xerath was right. Xerath's plan was to kill azir and take his place in the ascension ritual, that is, to kill ONE person, all the other deaths were caused by the ascension ritual having its target switched mid ritual, something that had never happened before and thus Xerath had no idea it would happen, a accident, and a unavoidable one at that.
