Idk about original. Dave Attel did the vitamin joke on Netflix and Sarah T (Joe List's wife) did the atarbucks target joke in her recent special. Still tho very funny comedian

i like how you like to spoil things for others. do you come out of the theatre talking loudly about how the movie ended in front of a line of people waiting to get in to that very same movie? When you see someone reading a book do you love to blurt out the ending because your ADHD brain can't handle holding in a tiny piece of information? I'll bet the people in Megan's life avoid her and hope "enough time passed" ... maybe she forgot about us.

She is so good that... Hell and Saint Paul... the 18 year old and "are you judging me?"... the way dads say they love you and the psychology major... Onyedimma and her previous missionary stuff. I also like that you can see the joke pop into her head before she says it... that slight half second smile before the joke.

Emily’s brilliant use of comedic timing and facial expressions makes her an absolute master of the slow burn, the best I’ve ever seen. Her conversational style, story-telling and relatable observational humor makes her so personally endearing. Truly a rising star on par with Tig Notaro and Taylor Tomlinson. Some of the best parody on religion I’ve ever heard. Very clever and insightful, but not offensive. I travelled from Portland, OR to Seattle last Saturday just to catch her live. I was not disappointed as she premiered all new jokes she was trying out on the road. All equally hilarious material.

That gal in the audience laughing in pain the whole time was right to do so 🤣 I've never seen a comedian start with a good joke, awkwardly milk the premise several times, and then finish with the great joke at the end, like this. Tig Notaro does something similar, but Emily takes it to a whole new level. Easily my new favorite comedian.

I wasn't sure about the pacing in the beginning, but she had me hooked only a few minutes in. The deadpan delivery ended up being my favorite part, and the jokes were brilliant. And the whiplash from 35 min of *pausepausepausepunchline* to the "fuck off I don't even have finish the joke beer sip" was EPIC. Looking forward to more.

By on her climb, I mean stuff like not being on The Daily Show. In this class, she's outclassing everybody.
